Should You Consider Joining a POD (Print-on-Demand) Site?
It was being a member of a POD site that got me interested in affiliate marketing. -But that is not the point of this blog.
POD sites have affiliate programs for their members. Zazzle for example offers 15% commission on every sale. – But that is not the point of this blog either.
The point is that POD sites allow you to create customizable, personalizeable products specific to your niche for your customers, and there are thousands of products you can choose from. In fact, many such products may already exist.
Also, what about your domain/site name or logo. Take t-shirts for example. How many t-shirts have you seen bearing a company name or logo? Is there any reason you can not do the same with your own company/brand-name or logo? You could even put your web address on it in big bold letters. Why not have some walking advertisements for your affiliate site? The only limitation is your imagination.
In other words, if you are a member of a POD site you are not limited to what is out there. You have the ability to create some stuff of your own.
And here is another advantage. The people who are members of POD are often active affiliates of that POD's products. I am. So, in addition to having your creations promoted on your own site, they may well end up being promoted on many other people’s sites too. So yes, your promotional products for your web site can in turn end up being promoted by others as well. It’s called free advertising.
Check out a POD. Look at what they have to offer, and let your imagination go from there.

I discovered Spoonflower a couple of years ago - a POD for purchasing fabric and wall coverings by the yard. You can also create your own design, upload and have that available for others to purchase as well.
They may also have an affiliate program - I'm not sure. An item on my list of things to do is spend more on time on this site to what all it has to offer. I'm a "fabriholic" and being able to design my own fabric would be great.
Zazzle is also one of my favorite sites but it's been a while since I last visited - this would be a good thing to do today!
