Whew! Here I am.

Thank goodness for good friends. I've had some big decisions to make about how and where to get into affiliate marketing and I needed help. Everything I'd been reading about e-commerce was telling me that I needed to jump in with two feet and commit to something. But there are many paths and I have very little money (read: no money). I couldn't justify paying the huge fees a lot of the gurus were asking for. I couldn't even justify the monthly fee to achieve Premium status here at WA while I built a business. I wanted to jump in, but I didn't have the necessary funding. So I decided to refinance my house--which I just paid off this past September--in order to invest in myself! It felt like a very scary but necessary move--even though I'd been so happy to pay it off! I didn't know what else to do. Thankfully, my closest friends stepped in to talk me out of this crazy idea (I mean the refinancing!). They reminded me how great it was that I owned my house outright. They reminded me that my house is my daughter's inheritance. (That's it, baby!) We went over all the numbers together and they made me realize that I really only needed another 1,000 a month. Surely, they said, I could find a way to get it. "Really??" I thought. That's a lot of money! Where would I get that? I recently left a time-consuming full-time job in order to have a life and I didn't want to fill up my time again with a dozen part-time jobs.

Suddenly I realized that I already had an option! A thousand dollars a month is a small goal here at WA. And the monthly fee would only be a hardship until I started to make money. It would provide incentive. Then, another friend stepped in to lend me some money to cover the fees for a while. My friends made it impossible to say no to this opportunity!! They put me on the right path, gave me some breathing room, and saved me from getting back into debt! And so here I am. Ready to find out more about how all of this works, ready to begin, and ready to put in the hours to make the comittment worth it.
