I had a "off the cuff" idea for a second website niche. I went thru the process as my first website. My issue is that I can't find the HOME page in WP anywhere??? I can click t

If you're hosting here. Click on Websites then click on Site Manager, and there you will see the list of your websites simply click on the login button to the website you want to access your websites wp dashboard

Thanks but my problem is IN dashboard. On my ALL PAGES screen I have disclosure, landing page, privacy etc..but not my actual xxx.com home page.

WP defaults your blog roll as your homepage - if you don't want your blog roll as your homepage you then can set a page as a static page and then that will become your home page

You will need to create a page to be your home page - once created go to Setting then Reading and there you will where you can choose and set your static page

Haaa!! You the man! Thank you Sir. I've been frying my brain for the last 5 hours. Ugh...

Anytime, here's a training video I did a while back about setting a static page and creating the link to your blog roll:

My WordPress editor show 5 pages, 4 published, and 1 private at the top of my PAGES screen. I can edit the four that I created (about me, privacy policy, etc) but it does not l

You home page is never listed in the Pages menu by default, if your home page is a static page, it is listed by name in the list, but not identified as 'HOME' - if you have left your home page as a default, it is your blog roll, and isn't considered a page at all.

Ahh, yes. It's a blog role. Can I change it from "default"? How do I do that?

Yes - I wrote up the instructions previously.

onmyownterms Done. Thanks!

You're welcome.

I see that when I am in page or post editor, then go to preview, it looks different. I also note differences in the lay out when page is viewed from different devices. I see th

Images will always look different based on screen size as well!

Here's what I do to account for the variation:

nathaniell Thanks for the great lesson. I have started implementing your tips. I never noticed the two sentences rule. That was a great point. I wish the editor exactly emulated a web page but it is what it is. I do still like the images off to the side but I'll do what you suggest in the cases where it doesn't work out on all platforms.

Best,
~Ed~

I used to do just like you're doing now - painstakingly arrange images for a specific looks, so I totally understand where you're coming from!

Always put the cursor at the beginning of a paragraph, before the first character, and you'll be able to control the placement of the images. What you see in your WordPress dashboard is always going to be somewhat different to what your visitors see.

MarionBlack Hello Marion, I just watched a couple of your tutorials the other day. Very helpful Thank you for them. I haven't had a chance to look at the one you just replied with but that will be next. I look forward to it. Hopefully that will clear up a few lingering questions I have.

Let me know. If you can't find it, I'll try to find a link for you.

MoneyMagnet3 Thanks. I'm almost there. :)

I'm not sure, but if you put in the search bar "Images" or 'Preview Images", something like that, you'll find the answer.
