Recently I wrote by learning and applying the training at Wealthy Affiliate, higher frequency in search engine rankings can happen. Let me share my best experience to date.

Yesterday, August 4th I published my 84th website post entitled:

What Is The Key To Success In Business - It Is One Simple Word.

Today, August 5th I received the following message from Kyle and Carson

They confirmed that this post was ranked in Google. This message advised me to check out my rank on Google, Bing and Yahoo using the Jaaxy Site Rank feature. I encircled that as shown. So I did. The results can be seen in the screenshot below.

It was ranked at #3 in Google and #1 in Bing and Yahoo. I expect that within a few days it will also be ranked #1 in Google.

All this happened within 24 hours.

I feel that the more often one publishes posts on our websites, we get recognized faster by the Search Engines. Does anyone else agree?

If you have similar experiences please share in the discussion area below.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Cheers.

Edwin

Hi Edwin

Unfortunately you are misleading new members here, as you aren't checking your ranking correctly.

In Site Rank you are meant to enter your keyword in the left hand field. I can guarantee no one will search for "What is the key to the success in the business? It is one simple word". Ranking #1 for this keyword therefore means nothing.

Your actual keyword is "Key to success in business" - that is what you want to check the ranking for.

I could go and write a post now on "The mating habits of wild bactrian camels in Mongolia in October" and I guarantee it would show as #1 on site rank, but it wouldn't mean anything as no one searches for that.

I am slightly surprised an ambassador has written a post like this - I would suggest amending it.

Hi Bobby,

Thanks for your insights. I did a Jaaxy test using the keyword you suggested and the results are attached.

Notice that the competition for the keyword you suggested breaks the rules for newbies as the competition (QSR) at 201 is too high and the SEO at 81 is too low. That may work fine for those who have hundreds of posts published. But not for people like me that have less than 100 posts.

Notice the results for the first phrase of the keyword I used? The QSR is 41 and the SEO is 93.

I entered What Is The Key To Success In Business into Site Rank in Jaaxy and I've attached that result below. Notice that this appeared in position 4 on Bing and Yahoo, But not on the first page of Google. That is still pretty decent.

Of course I admit that nobody will enter the complete title of my post. However, the question portion is a reasonable question to ask.

Wealthy Affiliate teaches newbies to use long tailed keywords for the very reason they have less competition,

By the way, I will not be amending my post. I am happy with it and do not agree with you that I am misleading new members. If you feel strongly against it, I suggest you notify Kyle about your position.

Since you just joined Wealthy Affiliate as a free member may I ask if you have started the Online Entrepreneur Certification training or the Bootcamp Training? It seems you are an expert in online marketing so I wonder what was your motivation to join Wealthy Affiiate?

It would be great if you upgraded to Premium and created training here for the members. You do know that you get paid for making training as well as giving site comments. Right? But you have to be a Premium member for three months before you can do that.

In the grand scheme of things, I do want to reach a position where Google will consider my website an authority site and that I will be receiving loads of traffic and getting a lot of conversions. At that time I will be able to use keywords constructed like you suggested because I will be able to compete better.

My main focus now is to reach 100 posts to help me along that path.

I wish you much success in your affiliate marketing journey. May you make millions.

Cheers.

Edwin

>>>Exactly that is the point I was making - your real keyword that you are competing against other sites for is too competitive.

Note it isn't about having 100s of posts, it is about having quality posts. I am sure you are aware Brian Dean dominates the SEO niche with a website with around 50 posts on.

---"I entered What Is The Key To Success In Business into Site Rank in Jaaxy and I've attached that result below. Notice that this appeared in position 4 on Bing and Yahoo, But not on the first page of Google. That is still pretty decent."

>>>Being an ambassador and having been here for almost two years I am sure you are aware that Google ignores stop words, and as the phrase above includes stop words, you must remember the results are skewed.

----"Of course I admit that nobody will enter the complete title of my post. However, the question portion is a reasonable question to ask."

>>>Essentially this is backing up the point of my post - that showing your Jaaxy ranking for this keyword is pointless as no one will search for it.

---"Wealthy Affiliate teaches newbies to use long tailed keywords for the very reason they have less competition"

>>>Yes but you want to use long tail keywords that people are searching for! The same for any other keyword.

---"It seems you are an expert in online marketing so I wonder what was your motivation to join Wealthy Affiiate?"

>>>I pop in every now and then for the 30 free searches on Jaaxy and to correct misleading information that could teach new members bad habits.

I hope this all makes sense, but if anything needs clarifying please just let me know.

I heard that you brought my name up in Live Chat and stated that I didn't know how to use Keywords.

Please refrain from doing that again. You will not achieve your objective of helping other members avoid what you consider as misleading information. People may end up reporting you to Kyle. Communicating with me directly is fine. I will take your advice under consideration.

Since you appear an expert in online marketing are you able to earn enough in your affiliate marketing business without needing a day job?

At least you are honest that you recycle your membership to use Jaaxy for free. But the way you do it by using false names each time is unethical. Why don't you become a Premium member? O am certain you're earning more than enough to afford it.

Why don't you ask Kyle to employ you as the Wealthy Affiliate misleading information officer? Where you spend your time doing what you enjoy doing and helping members in the process?

By the way, the actual keyword I used was:

What Is The Key To The Success In Business.- This is what is in my permalink.

I added, "It Is One Simple Word" to add more interest to the Rich Snippet. My claim that I got indexed and got ranked on the first pages of the search engines, was accurate.

However, can you teach me what stop words are? And why does Google ignore stop words?

Being an Ambassador doesn't reflect on ones expertise. All it means is one is active on the platform and helps others.

I have no idea who Brian Dean is. I will be checking him out.

Thanks for your advice.

Edwin

If your keyword is: "What Is The Key To The Success In Business" then that is what you put in Jaaxy Site Rank - not the entire post title.

However as I say it includes stop words that Google will ignore AND people generally won't type 'What is the key to the success in business", they will type in 'key to success in business world'.

This will help you understand stop words:

Brian Dean is, along with Neil Patel, the biggest SEO expert on the net. You should check out Backlinko.

I would not get enough benefit from the WA membership. I stop being a member long ago as once I moved my sites elsewhere I had no reason to be a member at WA.

I also had several issues here that disappointed me immensely in the way they were dealt with (or not dealt with), and I'd rather not be a permanent member of the community.

"Since you appear an expert in online marketing are you able to earn enough in your affiliate marketing business without needing a day job?"

No, I make around £500 profit per month (after taking out the expenses of paying for a top quality writer). That is a decent passive income, but I hope to increase it over the coming years. The key is to avoid the MMO niche, you need to have something very different, like DylanRieger, to succeed in it. If you are just another sheep following the crowd you won't succeed, and I knew I had neither enough interest or creativity to be successful in that niche.

I checked out Brian Dean and subscribed to his newsletter. I recognized his picture but not his name. It must have been a while back when I came across him before, Neil Patel I do remember.

My goal is to hit 100 posts with my MMO site. I have only 15 posts to go so I will continue.

However, instead of continuing building that site for the moment, I shall start another site with a new niche. And I shall promote the most clicked upon posts on Social media. I may return to that at a later date. Need to think about a new niche.

Thanks for helping me get a better understanding of Keywords. I never claimed to know it all. What you said made a lot of sense that has given me a different perspective on how to approach creating new ones. It is going to take much more effort to come up with low competition keywords in this way.

It is all about knowing human nature and how people enter phrases on things they want to search. But we cannot overlook that our posts contain keywords within our content that also can be used by searchers who can find our posts. I feel that the main keyword is what needs to be focused on.

You have a style of communicating that can rub people up the wrong way. When I first read your message it seemed a bit rude.I am glad that I didn't dismiss your message and gave it serious thought.

Thanks for sharing what you earn in this business. That ain't too shabby. I hope you continue to increase your earnings I would be very happy with $1000 a month to supplement my current income.

Cheers.

Edwin

You are welcome Edwin, I am glad you have taken this on board, and that to me shows you are likely to succeed, unlike some other members here who don't listen.

Wishing you all the very best in your endeavours.

Thank you, sir Edwin. I second you. The search engines truly love that. At one point, I relaxed in publishing and my site went down, my recent posts took more than a day before been indexed of which it normally got indexed within hours.
I shall pay more attention on writing like what you and Kyle emphasized.

Thanks Akon for your validation. The system works. We just have to work it ha! Thanks for commenting.

Edwin

Wow Edwin, that is one fantastic WA experience, that is the first time I have read of that, congratulations on your expertise sir, you are a WA champ.

Joe

Hi Joe,

You are most kind. I only followed what WA taught. It works! Many thanks for your kind wishes. All the best to you.

Edwin

Great work, Edwin!

I find that if I keep my AVG less than 20 with a QSR of less than 100 then I can get ranked on the first page in Bing & Yahoo and the first 3 pages on Google all in the first day or two. The problem is that with an AVG that low you won’t really get any traffic, which is why Kyle recommends keeping the AVG at least 40 and ideally 50.

Since I have just under 30 posts on my site I only get a few Bing and Yahoo first page rankings and none on Google. This is just what I would expect at this point. Therefore my strategy is to continue to keep my AVG around 40 to 50, my QSR less than 100, and just continue creating high quality content. I don’t stress about my rankings but it is fun to watch my posts rank better and better as content volume continues to rise.

I‘m expecting to start ranking high enough to begin making money when I have about 100 posts. I think that some people just starting at WA have the idea that money will just come pouring in after 3 or 4 weeks and unfortunately some of them may be financially desperate enough to be counting on it to happen.

I started setting things up now on WA so that when I retire in 2 to 3 years I’ll already be in the position to have an additional small supplementary income.

When my traffic is consistently high the I will begin to target keywords with much higher AVGs ( and therefore also higher QSRs).

Now that I’m in level 4 training I’m also trying to give my rankings a boost through the various social channels.

It’s all been a lot of fun. :-)

Frank

Hi Frank,

Firstly, thanks for your great comments. I agree withn everything you stated. As long as we follow the WA formula and never give up, we will achieve our goals.

The 100 post benchmark is where I am aiming for too. Only 15 more posts to get there.

Keep up the good work. All the best to you.

Cheers.

Edwin

You are doing a really awesome job!
I love learning from everyone here at WA.

Wow, congratulations, Edwin! This is fantastic!

Hi Ferra,

Great to hear from you. Thanks for your kind words. I also wish you much success.

Cheers.
