My 200th Post In This Amazing Place We Call Wealthy Affiliate

Why not write my perspective on Wealthy Affiliate for my 200th post? I just wrote a site comment on a new post by Tony Lee Hamilton on Weathy Affiliate and was inspired by what he wrote. And that motivated me to write this blog post.

When I first became a starter member of WA, I didn't know what to expect. Like most members here I had checked out several other online training sites and programs and found them all lacking. Or they cost too much.

The worst experience I got from so many places was the up sells. It was a case of what you see is NOT what you get. You have to pay more to get what you expected. Not so with Wealthy Affiliate. That is what has endeared me to this amazing platform.

Kyle & Carson

My sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to Kyle and Carson for having the vision and determination to create this incredible place. It is very hard to define exactly what Wealthy Affiliate is in a few words. The reason being there is nothing else like it in the world.

When I describe Wealthy Affiliate to others, I say it is a platform that provides everything an entrepreneur needs to create an online business. .

Where else can you buy domain names, create websites, have them hosted securely with backup on high performance servers. Plus all the incredible training, not only from Wealthy Affiliate but also from members sharing their skills. Not to mention the live webinars by Jay.

Add to all of this we have a caring community of individuals who pay it forward in so many ways.

Our Global Community

Hence, it is impossible not to make good friends here from all over the world. The vast majority who we will never meet in person. Especially now during the Pandemic.

The Global Community that makes up Wealthy Affiliate is most evident during the Friday live webinars. When Jay mentions the places where the attendees come from, that drives this home so succinctly.

Naturally, there will always be room for improvement and that is one of the aims of Kyle and Carson. To continually improve this platform to amplify our ability to succeed.

Members Success Stories

It is very heartwarming to hear all the success stories. And they are many. What I find even more inspiring is that those who have successes are willing to share how they achieved their success with the members through their blogs and training.

The Golden Nuggets Of Wealthy Affilaite

In one of my website reviews of Wealthy Affiliate I attributed a fair dollar value to each of the elements on the platform to assess the true value of what we are getting. My total came to $3859 annually. Compared to the yearly membership fee of $495 this is a bargain.

Since joining Wealthy Affiliate I have only created two websites. My first one is on hold to return to later. My main one is where I have devoted most of my time to. And I am going to stick with it to make this my first successful money making site.

Success Plan

I created a weekly plan of action that I am following to get results. I posted it in my previous blog. It makes sense to post it here again.

Notice that Saturday is not shown. That is the day I reserve for catching up when I fall behind. As well as to review my progress in Google Analytics and Search Console.

It has been a pleasure creating these blog posts. My only regret is that by comparison I have only written just over 100 posts for my website. The ratio should have been in reverse. But this is going to change as I will be writing less here and more on my website.

Date For Refocusing

I have set a date for this transition. November 3rd. That is the date I will have been an Ambassador for 356 consecutive days. Clearly I am going to make the effort to remain an Ambassador till then. At Rank #20, I have been ebbing downwards and ready to relinquish the name after completing one calendar year in that role.

It is time I focus more on overcoming weaknesses in my business so that I can achieve the financial success I desire.

Affiliate Marketing Earning Goals

On December 20th 2018 I stated that my first financial goal was to earn $500 a week. And I would be ecstatic if I earned $2000 a week.

In 1976 shortly after emigrating to Canada I was earning $500 a week. When I retired from my career in 2006, 30 years later in California, (actually laid off), I was earning $2000 a week. A solid 6 figure income.

The difference being that when I start to earn these amounts it will not be working 40 hours a day, but much less. Based on what other successful members are earning through affiliate marketing, I feel these financial goals are doable. BUT it will require more focused effort on my part.

Fun Following Your Dreams

This job is actually a great deal of FUN. Learning all the skills necessary to succeed is not rocket science. Trial and error is often what is necessary.

And It does require a lot of hard, consistent, work. We have a lot of awesome role models to follow, too numerous to mention. You know who you are.

They teach us how to follow our dreams like they have.
