Well I've been at this a little over a month. I've learned a decent amount. I can see that there is potential to make money, but I haven't made any yet. I feel I still have a lot to do before my site is going to generate traffic and I just need to keep at it.

My first site is http://myrobothelper.com. I had grand dreams for it, but I've scaled them back. I've removed a 5 top level menu tabs for now. I can always add them back in as I add content. It looks a lot better then most of the tabs going to pages with placeholder content.

I am trying to get my kids to give me ideas for http://minecraftguidebook.com. They both play and want me to. There is around 30,000,000 people who have installed the game. There's got to be some money in there somewhere! :-)

One of the nice things about this endeavor is that I realize I am going to end up with several sites. I am going to create some based niches I have interest in but I am also going to tap into the knowledge and experience of friends and family. I expect it will be a good excuse to keep in touch more.

There is still a ton of information on this site that I have to dig through, but as I do that and continue on my journey here, I will look for gaps in the knowledge base and write more blog posts and eventually some training posts. I have 30+ years of computer experience and since the foundations of this business model is IT, there's bound to be something I can share.
