Hello.

I just signed up for the premium plan here on WA and I thought I'd take some time to introduce myself. I live in a small town in British Columbia just north of my home town Kamloops B.C. I live on a beautiful 10 acre piece of lakefront property 20 minutes from town with my beautiful wife and three daughters. I am truly blessed.

I've worked in land and resource development for most of my life. First, I spent 10 years working in mining exploration. Then the bottom fell out of mining. So I went back to school and got my Masters Degree in Community Planning. Then I spent another 10 years working with rural First Nations communities on building businesses, fixing housing problems and creating jobs.

In 2012 I started working from home - freelance writing and building an online presence. I have two existing websites: a Blog, "Notes from the Edge", I started with the Blogger platform and a "content rich brand website" through another service provider (I won't mention it here). I had decent experience with both of these platforms but I've been unable to generate any 'passive' income from advertising or affiliates. I realized after a while that I was too general. My content was all over the place and I was trying to build a site about all of my experiences - planning, family, life hacks, strategic planning, writing, marketing, eCommerce.

As a result I've not been very successful - but I've leaned a lot along the way. I have three eBooks on Amazon Kindle and over 200 pages of content written.

I also realized that Wordpress is the standard, and not having a knowledge of it was hurting me as a writer and eBusiness person. I hadn't planned on subscribing to a service when I got a random email about Wealthy Affiliate. I did some due diligence and found it was the real deal. I did the getting started tutorial and ... the rest is history.

Learning from my mistakes, I'm ready to rock a website that provides professional resume writing services. There's a ton of juicy keywords and even an affiliate "Resume Edge" that I can incorporate with my brand "The Edge On ..." (as in Sam Edge)

So I'm looking forward working with the community and hopefully making some real money from all my hard work. Thanks to all who have help so far, and Nathaniel, who apparently is my tour guide on this new adventure.
