A Call for Comments and Shares! - Survival, Prepper, or Related
Does your site focus on the topics of urban, suburban, or wilderness survival? Prepping? Some similar planning-related niche?
I'm not seeing anything like this, so, I'd like to invite you to connect right here.
What Is This Guy Prattling On About? Can't He Just Use the Give and Take Comment Thread That Kyle Started?
The fact is, we at WA already have the Give and Take comment thread. However, if you think about your training, we are encouraged to comment on sites related to our niche.
The Give and Take thread makes it a bit difficult to do that.
Wouldn't it be awesome if you had a group of people focused on your particular niche that you could network with to share comments, feedback, and shares?
A Give and Take Thread for Survivalists, Preppers, and Other Related Niches
So, today, I had a very fortunate happening. I ran into https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/cwodavids. We started discussing how we might help each other out, because of the similarity of our niches.
It took a bit, but then it hit me: We should network with others in related niches!
I hear Jay say this all the time, but it has taken nearly a year for it to sink in. So, now, I'm making an effort to connect with people in similar niches.
Let's Scratch Each Others' Backs!
So, now we get straight to the purpose of this post.
If you are in the survival or prepping niche, or an extremely related niche, I invite you to use this blog as a place to connect with others.
Let's share comments! Let's take it a step further and share shares! Let's stand on each others' shoulders!
You Need to Share Others' Content. Make it Count!
If you've followed the training - and Jay has reiterated this too - you need to be not only sharing content from your own site, but from others' sites too.
You don't want to beat your audience up with your content. You'll come to be thought of as being a taker. Sharing others' content will make you look more confident and authoritative.
Remember to also share non-niche things with your network, like "Hey, all you awesome people! I hope you're having a wonderful day!" ... or LOLCatz or ... stuff that doesn't make them feel they are being marketed to 100%.
Create community. Treat your audience like people you care about. Treat them like friends.
The Rules are Simple - Pay It Forward!
- Comment and/or Share the first three pages you see listed before you do even think about posting a request.
- Post the URL of the page you would like to be commented on and shared.
- If you are not comfortable sharing the content due to lack of quality or whatever reason, send a PM to the person and help them understand why you feel their post is not worthy of being shared.
- (Optional) Browse the thread to find additional content you may wish to share with your network.
I'm not asking anyone to share content they feel is bad, but we want to help one another. If that means providing feedback to help the person write better content, do that at least.
I want to see quality here. Focus on that! Let's be one anothers' Master Mind Group!
If demand is high enough, we can discuss the notion of doing a periodic hangout. We'll see how it goes. I think that, over time, doing a hangout could be an excellent addition to this thread.

I don't care for the way your amazon widget is pushing the article down. The picture itself is way better.
Also, you have no CTA at the end. If someone reads your entire review, they are probably - at that point - the most likely to click on your CTA and buy, so I would add a CTA at the end.
Jay recommends text links with clear action solicitation. So, something like, "Buy from Amazon" or "Click Here to Buy on Amazon". You could even be less pushy with something like "View Price on Amazon"
I was just looking back at my Water Brick review and realize I have not added any affiliate link at all. LOL! I better go get a tag for that site and add a link.
Woopsie!
What is a CTA? i did not like it Either, but, It wont like me move it to the Right.. maybe, move it down? Thank you for the good feedback. I will work on it right now....
Because it jacks-up the layout, I would take that widget out and rely on the image you have there that flows with the layout.
... and then add a text link at the bottom.
Good, I just did that very thing and made my call to action bigger at the end of the article.. Thank you Eddie! Very much!
Thank you Eddie! I really appreciate the time and effort. I am working on another review(not that I like them but, book review are kinda jiving with me right now with all the reading I am doing... YATB! ♥

Would appreciate your feedback! ;)
Wow! You two are awesome!
Thanks for hinting at - very directly in David's case - the absence of any discussion of boiling.
David, I think you may have more practical experience in this area than I have - given your background. I've come to believe (incorrectly?) that an appropriate filter can do a sufficient job.
... but a lot of the consumer devices do leave some room for problems. With the smallest virus found in water measuring 0.015 microns and most filters going to .1 microns.
In my reading, the risk seems low for the .1 micron devices, but there would definitely be more risk present than filtering and then boiling.
I'll circle back and pick-up that angle.
I have already commented on your sites below. You may take a look.. PM me if you have any questions. Thank you so much..

I thought I replied to this already, but wanted to remind you to post a URL so you get to TAKE as well as GIVE :-)
It's just the 3 of us right now, so all we can really do is cycle among ourselves.
Feel free to invite others you feel would be good additions to the group!

and I mention you and you website for all your help.
I share a great link of Cwo davids as well...
Thank you!
You left your links off. No picture link and no CTA at end :-) Also, when I go to share it on G+ the picture ... does not seem to apply to the post.
Thanks for the link. I think you talked me up a bit much, but whatever ;-)
I am trying to make sure I share you guys' content on my G+. Jay is always going on about how G+ shares help.
... and I still need to go back and update mine. It's actually hanging around page 2 right now and seems to be moving up.
Right now, I'm going through the process of realizing that - to pull off the concept I am going after - I should have created some posts as pages. So, that's kind of sucking.
Either of you know how to move comments from one place to another? Otherwise, I think I'm going to lose them.
Thanks for the link PJ, it is truly appreciated as every little helps. I have been pretty brutal and 'nit-picky' with the comments but I figured you wanted proper feedback rather than 'pink and fluffy'... I hope :-)
I have PM'ed you all the points.
I hope that helps, feel free to tell be I am talking complete BS :-)
Dave
1. I took the temple from Kyle. I think he used the brackets.
2. I cannot change the font as it comes default with this Studio Press theme. I have been through that already.
Points 3-13 taken. Thank you. Pm me next time with feedback I can't concentrate when I know thousands of people read it. Thank you again for valuable no bs feedback...PJ
