I have so many interests that focusing on one is very difficult. I have never been the type that just follows what others do. I have always found my own way even though it has

Each website should target a single niche but you can have as many as you can manage since you need to be creating content for them. Best to start with one, build it up and then grow from there.

I sometimes wonder if it might just make a lot of sense in making a personal blog along these lines.

Like you, I have many interests and kind of "do my own thing"... but I also don't want to write 100+ articles on each thing I am interested in. I can see writing 5 or 6 articles on one interest,15 to 20 articles on another interest, 20 to 30 articles on another interest, 10 to 12 articles on another interest, and so forth.

There certainly are people doing this who have blogs come up in the search results because I have found them many times.

I also find it more interesting personally because sometimes after reading an article about what I was searching for I see something else on a different subject that also interests me.

I also find sites completely focused on one thing come across as being commercially oriented built to make money... more so than a general blog/site covering the creators experiences in multiple things. But maybe that is just me. And it isn't always the case. Product based sites definitely feel that way to me.

I don't know... I can see good and bad both ways. It makes a lot of sense to have a site focused on one niche. And it also is refreshing to find sites that cover multiple things. And maybe it is more that as a user either can provide value depending on what I am after at the time... and as a creator the personal blog approach probably suits me best. ;)

So the general opinion is it is bad... but I think it might be worth testing it some day.

IN short yes you are trying to write to everyone by having multiple niches and everyone is not a niche
