Blog #1
Yes this is my first official blog since I joined WA. Mainly because I have been hard at work building two websites on two very different niches. I work full time and at the age of 50 am in college full time.
To say there isn't much down time is a slight understatement. I have been reading many of the posts and comments from other members of WA. It helps to keep the motivation up and focus on what I'm working to achieve.
As many that have come here for help and mentorship, I have come to really enjoy the training. The training is top notch and easy to understand. I have a computer background which is why I am back in school.
My sites have come together extremely well. I have been using the site feedback and comments section for input as I have continued working on them. The web design part has been pretty easy.
For me writing the content for my posts is a little harder. For years working in corporate america my writing style has been very technical in nature. Writing for blogs is very different. I find myself at times struggling to create compelling content rather than matter of fact content.
What I have done is look up bloggers that are successful in either my niche or one similar. I'm working hard to figure out what these successful bloggers are doing that works.
Using Kyles videos and examples from other bloggers is really helping. It helps to submit sites for feedback on content and structure.
Anything worth doing will involve struggle, but the result in the end makes up for it.
