Continual Progress Leads To Motivation

Motivation lights a fire in a person and moves that person to go on pressing forward and working towards his/her goal. But along the way that person may lose that motivation because he/she finds themselves stuck in the same place for a while.

The same is true for each one of us as individuals. No matter what we're working towards to whether it be a successful business, better relationships with family or even a healthier body; lack of progress can really affect our motivation to keep going.

How To Keep Making Progress?

Let's say I am working towards building a better body. I start to see results after a few weeks of dieting and training and then my progress comes to a HAULT!

This is called a Plateau. This state is when your body has gotten comfortable with my current workout routine. To overcome this Plateau, I will need to change the way I workout by increasing the resistance and intensity of my workout.

Many of us may have reached a state of Plateau in some point in our lives. You've set small goals and made adjustments in your life to help you reach your goal but then you start to notice that you are no longer making progress.

So the only way to overcome this form of Plateau is to increase the intensity. We need to get out of our current comfort zone and try out new ways or ideas. Only then are we able to make continual progress.

As you continue to make progress, you will find yourself having an abundance of motivation. Nothing and nobody will be able to get in your way as you work towards your goal.
