My Day of Relaxing

Had an amazing day yesterday, decided to give my content writing a break and went out with my husband. In my home town there were celebrations going for a legacy of the mining industry around out area. The town was known in the 1820 as a copper mining and surrounding area of coal mines. During the time of the copper mining the area worked very close with another mining industry in Cornwall UK. It was people in this area that took the step to set up the "Cornish Mining World Heritage Site" The organization didn't want the importance of mining to be forgotten, on the 10th anniversary of the organization it was decided to share their enthusiasm with the rest of the mining areas where over the last century mining was so important to the people due to many of the families being involved with the mines.

The man machine was 11.2metres tall one of the largest mechanical puppet ever constructed in Britain. The cop-operation had taken the time to delve into the history of every town and village that they have visited since 2016.

The puppet was walked through out city to the site of where out copper mining industry stood. The children were so excited and there was a real buzz. The children listen to some history of the area and we were all reminded of those that lost theirs lives during the times when copper, coal and iron ore mining were at the only work around.

The man machine has been built looking like a miner and it was inspired by one man, who had vision and has shared with his fellow man across the UK.

Perhaps this will mean nothing to some but the people of Wales and England it is a legacy that will be remembered and when the tours are done will go to the Ciornish Mining World Heritage Site.
