Setting Out
So I've finished building the framework of my site and filled in all the base content. It's time to create my own domain and see where I can take this. If anyone reading this has the time, check out my site and gimme some feedback if you'd be so kind: http://dueydecibelsbeatlounge.siterubix.com/
If I'm lucky, the artists I'm looking for will be willing to jump on board since my site won't ever cost them a thing. I want people to be able to discover, share and promote artists in the genre that they like, sort of like a place devoted to the type of music. Affiliate sales would be nice if people want to buy songs, but more than anything, I'd like to be able to help support the artists by giving them more listeners.
As someone who writes, I know what it means to create something for someone other than myself. My passion is meant to entertain others even though it entertains me too, and people who make music want the same thing, I'm sure. Here's hoping I get to talk to some of the artists I admire!

Hey Duey, making great progress with your site. Just popped over for a peak. Looks really fresh and technical at the same time. I love the images that you chose for your genres. My guess is you are either a DJ or you make your own music? Has the makings of a really interesting site. Keep building!
P.S. The word 'house' music was indeed from Chicago. It's from a Club called 'Warehouse' where Frankie Knuckles created the whole dance music ball rollin. House is a shortened version of warehouse. Google Frankie Knuckles for a reference/info point for more content?
Best of luck with it all.
Cheers
Darwyn
Hahah! Amazing comment, thank you Darwyn. Nope, I'm no DJ and I don't make music. I'm a writer sci fi fiction/fantasy philosophy writer, and mostly everything I listen to helps me to create my fantastical world, characters and technology. Thanks a ton for that awesome Frankie Knuckles tidbit, I'll look into that. I want to add personality to my website and little stuff like that tells people that I really love what I want to do, you know?
