Small Goals

I have large goals pretty clearly defined, even written out, but that's not so for the smaller goals it takes to reach them.

Today I read a success post by member ramccracken (Ryan) who mentioned that whenever he was in doubt or didn't know what to do next he would always turn to writing another article.

This is something I wholeheartedly agree with and have made one of my smaller goals, because I know I will often get lost, sidetracked or short on time. As long as I keep writing (and using valuable keywords) I am achieving at least 80% of what I need to do to get to my larger goals.

To keep track of how many articles I write, I created a form titled with the month and all of my projects/websites (I have about 5 in total) along the top of the form with my goal frequency (ie. "2x/wk" or "daily") and days 1-31 running down the left hand side with boxes under each project for each day. I split these up into weeks by drawing a line between the last day of one week and the first day of the next. I have this posted right above my computer screen on the wall in front of me as I write this.

I haven't accomplished my goals for all of my projects yet, but for the first time since starting this at the beginning of the month, I completed my goal this week for two of my projects and have almost completed my goal for another.

We all have responsibilities and time constraints, so being able to see exactly what we've accomplished, what still needs to be done, where we've "failed," or how far we've come is very empowering.

If nothing else, identify what the most important, most propelling action is to get you to your biggest goal and use a simple way to track your progress. You will be amazed at the results!

Yes we need to plan and implement. Without that we are truly lost.
I have more time then others so I plow in and the things that need to be done get done.
Whether it be writing or tech stuff. And my mind is always on this 24/7 so I hardly have to have reminders to help. :)
But I have set a small goal for the downhill money site promoting WA and that is to work on for one year full time to see if I can generat an income. Going into my six month I am in the red a few thousand, trying every and any different way to promote it. So far I'm going broke slowly working the program. Only God knows what will be my results at the end of this year. Of course live or die the world of WA will know exactly whether I am successful or not.
I even have a second site I have outlined to create on January 2015.
Fail or succeed one year later I will bring much needed insite to members with that niche website. What kind of time frame is required and just how much effort is really needed to make money online with Affiliate Marketing using the Wealthy Affiliate Program.
You already know of my struggles here to even make a single buck within the last sixth months of almost 7 day a week which i take up to ten hours daily working at my desk. Just because I've made no money myself doesn't mean that happens to everyone of course.:)
But I am an open book and do not skimp on letting members hear the truth. Good or bad.
To your success!
Ps. I have sympathy for any member here needing the money and only able to work the program part time. I believe the five months I've put in working full time...might take them a whole year to accomplish the same result.

Good idea that should keep you on the right track!
