New site, new post, Position 8 on Google next day!

Seriously! I registered my new WA promoting domain name about a week ago. Last night I finally got started building the site. Around 2 am I finished the theme, starting points, and wrote a first post. I submitted it to Google for crawling and went to bed.

This morning I do a Google search in a private browser window for my first post's quoted long tail keyword. It's at position 8 on page 1! This keyword's Searches/Traffic/Competition/Power scores are 164/28/40/8

Not a bad start huh? On to the next one!

Awesome!
Congrats to you!

I just checked my quoted long-tail keyword again in a private window. The page is two days old. Now it's position 1 on Google.

Just to make sure that it's not caching on my Mac or something I also made a remote connection to my server at work and checked from there also. Still at position 1.

I also got a comment from a WA request so that probably helped.

So according to the keyword tool, I should get about 28 hits per month on that page. We'll see how it goes. Searching without quotes I'm not even in the top 20 pages.

On my quoted secondary keyword, I'm on page 3. Unquoted I'm on page 6. However, on this keyword, I'm competing with the likes of Tony Robbins and Robert Kiyosaki. So I'll take that as a win.

One weird issue that the Google snippet is inserting the name of one of the page's images. Not sure why. I put my snippet into the SEO Description. But I just decided to delete the image title, so we'll see if that clears up.

Awesome Darrel! Go Get'em!

Well done :)
