I'm starting a marathon.

So, I'm just starting my third month here at Premium. I feel like I've learn quite a bit. I was already familiar with much of the information in the lessons because of the work that I've done over the past 18 years. Mostly the technical stuff about building web sites, systems like Analytics, graphic design software, etc. But there's so much more here to take in.

I think the biggest lesson is that this is a Marathon. Six months minimum to build a site that is getting enough traffic that will convert. I hadn't considered that time frame a few months ago.

I've also reached the point of being more comfortable with other methods. I'm looking into Commission Junction. And just today I was accepted into Ads 4 Dough. That's not an impossible thing to do, but it's not just a signup and go. I had to spend about an hour chatting with an affiliate manager in sort of an interview. There're more financial risk with these methods, but the turn around is quicker.

My next decision is whether to commit to Yearly WA membership. I did the math and the monthly savings save $19/month, which happens to be the same cost as a basic Jaaxy membership. Interesting...

Yearly membership will also put me on the Marathon path rather than the "what will I do this month" mind set.

It's an exciting time for me right now, but also a bit nerve wracking. I feel like I'm in information overload sometimes. Up until about March of this year I was pretty stagnant in my job. I just didn't realize it until they cut my hours in half. In some ways I feel like I'm starting over.
