Hi DSheridan, I created some training on menus, maybe that will help you: How To Manage 2 Default Menus in Word Press Themes
Thanks Top Achiever. Great info. Unfortunately it does not remove the Menu 1 and Menu 2 on the site. Thanks again.
Create a new menu and give it a meaningful name. Add your pages to this new menu. Go to the "manage locations" tab and select your new menu from the drop down for main menu. Leave the top menu as "select a menu" if you don't want to show a menu there. Don't forget to save!
Here are screenshots to help. :)

Hi Kathy. Thanks for your help. unfortunately it still shows "Menu 1" and Menu 2 when you visit the site. The menu i created can only be accessed by clicking on Mnu 1 button. I think i need to try another theme. Thanks again. Daragh
I put it on my test site and see what you mean now.
I can't see where to change that in the options, but I've no doubt in can be done in the code somewhere. Have you tried asking in the Powen Lite support forum? https://wordpress.org/support/theme/powen-lite
will do I emailed the guy that set it up and posted on the help forum on Wordpress for Powen Lite. Thanks
Go to Appearance, then menus and you should be able to configure it from there :) I hope that helps
Thanks Nessa. unfortunately I have done this but I still need to click Menu 1 button in order to see the menu I've created. Thanks for your help anyway. Cheers Daragh
