Bumped something on my laptop. Now everything is tiny. How do I change it back?

It's probably an image setting issue. Glad you managed to sort it out..

It can be image or font image adjustment to tweak this type of problem.

Glad you have it corrected. My husband would flip his screen 180 degrees consistently. Still don't have a clue what was being clicked on to cause it. We now have the screen settings in the Properties locked. LOL!

glad you got it resolved all the best Max

That happens sometimes, just need to change the setting back to 100%.

Right click on desktop. Check "Display Settings" and also inside that the advanced. x by y. Write down what they are now and try playing to get your old settings back.

What is your OS?

I have been there and done that! : >)

Sounds like you have somehow zoomed right out. It depends on your laptop, some laptops have a zoom in and out button. You can also try the short-cut of holding CTRL and rolling your mouse wheel forward to zoom in again. Also some laptops will let you zoom in by doing a finger gesture on the touch pad, it could be that too. I have attached an image in case you are not aware of it.

Hope that helps,

Andrew

This is what I'd try first: you have the ability to 'resize' what is showing on your screen using keyboard shortcuts, as follows:

Ctrl + = (equals sign) --------------------------- zoom in
Ctrl + - (dash) ------------------------------------ zoom out
Ctrl + 0 (zero (on keyboard; not keypad)) -- back to default (100%) size

~ Mike

Thank you. Back to normal!

You're welcome. I was hoping that was all that was wrong... ;)

Thank I didn't know I could do that.
It true we do learn something new everyday!

You're very welcome; glad to help. :) ~ Mike

WA Affiliate Program
Updated

I have turned of the comment notifications, but still get the e-mails from the various blogs and training course added. Most are just personal blogs on their progress. But eve

Under your profile account you can set the notifications off.

Hi all,

In MS Outlook, I go to the Home tab, then Rules, Create new rule and follow the prompts. I've created a 2016 WA sub-folder in My Office, then Inbox and everything from WA automatically goes from my main inbox to the WA sub-folder there.

I can review WA emails on my schedule which I set at twice a day for 20 minutes each time. I prioritize by reading responses to my posts first, then follows, then subject posts I find interesting, then look up two new members I want to follow. Then delete everything in the folder at end of day.

All this would be different for a MAC of course and I haven't set anything up on my smartphone yet. BE$T, Dan

Dan, you're a pro!

Thanks for your comment here.

Thanks Theres, Took some time to set it up but glad I did. Now I have to work the discipline to follow through with my times for viewing I set up for myself. Working on that every day. Love this stuff! Following you.... Dan

Not sure I'll learn quick to do the same, but I ' ve tagged this message and your comment to remind myself........

Select "ALL" Delete :)

As your rank goes up, the more emails you will get. I go through the ones that are of interest and delete the rest. I would love to read them ALL, but that would take up my entire day ;-)

For some reason, none of these emails make it into my inbox. They do, however, go directly to an "unread" folder. I use my Samsung Galaxy S6 to manage my emails, mostly because I've forgotten all of the passwords except one, and only because that's the account I use to log into Windows 10. I guess my phone knows I don't want all of those emails directly in my inbox. I'm not sure why it does this, but maybe you should take a look at the device you manage your emails with if this sounds preferable to what you've got going.

I asked the same question. And what I do now is open the ones I think are of interest to me and delete the rest. I figure, if I need to know something I can always search for it. And if I can't find something, I'll ask. Good luck!

I just delete every evening all the blogs which were not having an appealing title;) and start fresh in the morning, I get at the moment 150-250 daily, I just can't read everything

I turn off all notifications except private messages, Affiliate Notifications, Special Offers and then just click on the blog posts that catch my attention in the activity dashboard.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/home/my_profile is the link as You most likely already know or you can also click on your picture in the top right corner and then scroll down to subscription notices.

overwhelming, isn't it? Click on your pic, far upper-right, and go to Account Settings. At the bottom you can select which messages you want to receive.

Several request for feedback on my sites state that my privacy page should be listed in the footer area not in my header area. This would free up space for one more category l

I don't know if your theme has the option. However, you might try adding it to a footer widget. You can do that by going to Appearance > Widget in the dashboard.

Yes...this should work.

Thank you for asking. I learned something new.

You can pick up the tab of the privacy policy in your menu on the dashboard and shift it to the right, under your about me page, so it will not be directly visible for your customers/visitors

No footer in our theme. This worked well.

Thanks

perhaps this can help

The best way to do this is by going to appearance and clicking on menus like your normally would when you are inserting pages into your header.

Go ahead and click on 'create new menu' towards the top of the screen, it will ask you to put a name for the new menu, I would just name it Footer.

Click create menu and then at the bottom you should see an area that says 'menu setting' and within that area 'theme locations'.

Inside that area make sure the box that says 'footer' is clicked, then simply add your privacy policy to this new menu and make sure to click on save.

Keep in mind that not all themes allow for footer menus, so if you dont see the footer option on yours then this is probably the case for you.

My theme doesnt allow for footers so I had to place mine into a sidebar widget, which is a little more involved.

Evidently, nither of my themes support putting the page in the footer because the footer option is not there. Thanks anyway. I like both of my themes currently with the exception of the policy page issue, so I guess i will just have to live with it. Thanks any way.

You may want to check out fiverr.com. For $5 I'm pretty sure you can get someone to modify your favorite theme to allow a footer menu.

I figured it out with help on here. Thank you

Thanks for the info! Just wondering, once the Privacy Policy is in the footer, would you then just delete the page from the dashboard so it doesn't show in the menu when people visit your site? Thanks.

No,you don't delete the page, its just in a secondary menu in the footer instead of being in your primary menu which shows up in your header.

Oh, I think I have done something wrong then because it is still showing in my main menu, as well as showing at the bottom of each of my posts. How do I make it only appear in the footer? Thanks.

I recently purchased a more site specific domain for my initial web site. My original web site was titled BassinAdVentures@dlscales.com. Yep I purchased a domain name with my

If you are simply deleting the old content from that site and starting fresh, you don't need to do anything else. Maybe fetch as google a few times to get the ball rolling: Other than that, GOogle will naturally catch up to speed on what you're blogging about.

Thank you. I already noticed that that was happening

Just be aware that you may be paying annual domain fees on your old site. Good looking site and good choice. Bass fishing ranks high among all sport fishing.

I have changed the name of the old site and developing a website about personal growth there. I just wanted a more name appropriate domain for my fishing site.

You could put in a redirect from your old site not sure if this will help you

I am not sure but you may need to do a redirect. Especially if you are using the old domain. You have to tell the search engines where to find
your content.

Thank you. I have been here since December of 2014. But while I was working full time and raising my grandson it was hard to get much accomplished. I recently retired,(March 1st). Everything that is on the new site has happened since then. I have gotten more accomplished in the last month than I did in the entire last year. Made my share of mistakes, but learned more from them...lol. Any way I feel like I have made progress.

Lovely positive start to the day and sounds like you are on the right path. Really like the name Ñ=
