What Keeps You Going When Things Get Tough?
Hi everyone,
No matter where we are in our niche journey, we all go through moments when things feel slow, challenging, or uncertain. Those moments can test us, but they also show what really keeps us moving forward.
I learned from experience that things can get better even when they get tough. It’s usually just a period we have to push through. I think of the big picture and keep following my process. Sticking to that process has helped me get through those tougher periods.
How about you?
What keeps you going when things get tough in your niche journey?
Do you have something that helps you stay focused and motivated during the harder moments?
Thanks for reading,
Dan

What keeps me going is something strange to me and to anyone else: the fact that life is not permanent. But when things are tough, I do whatever I can and leave what's not in my control. This is what I call, African Stoic Resilience. However, this might sound motivational, but the fact is that it's what has kept me going.
I imagine if I am dead right now. What's it that I'd be happy about achieving? What's it that I'd sad about or regret doing or not doing?
Those questions keep me move forward regardless of what happens.
See, from May to June this year (2025), I was not able to renew my membership. Not because I didn't want to but like it happened back in 2015, I didn't have the money. That's was something to keep me away from trying again, isn't it?
I chose to think of an alternative. What if I could use my other talents (linguistic, IT, etc) to make money and fund this? I did, and I wasn't and will never be disappointed about that decision.
Oh yes, it's not about the lack of money. It's always about the lack of will.
Hi John, thank you for your comment. That is an interesting point of view and I am sure it can be powerful motivation for you to keep going. Thank you for sharing!

My love for my family is what keeps me going when things get tough! When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going...
Hi Paul, thank you for your comment. Our families can be a strong motivation in any situation. I agree with that saying.
Wishing you great success!
