The ability to truly relax can be quite a task.

I embarked on a task of relaxing, truly freeing my mind of the worries of finances, children, work and all the demands and expectations of me. This proved to be difficult. As I lay on my back, my phone notifications would interrupt, but most disruptive of this task was my mind. I began to worry about the now and the tomorrow and the day after and year after. I however decided not to e defeated, I would relax my mind and body. With much time and effort, I could feel the muscles in my face relax and the rest of my body followed and so did my mind. I began to think of the ocean, the gentle waves approaching the shoreline, I thought of the beauty of the mountains, the rivers, the icebergs and the plains. I imagined myself aimlessly exploring all these areas, feeling the wind, the heat, the cold; smelling nature and embracing the beauty of God’s creation. This scenic journey was all in my mind, as I lay on my back, limp, but relaxed. It was a great experience, I was brought back to reality as my phone rang. However during those twenty minutes I experienced true relaxation.

I believe and also I encourage you to relax, right in your home, on your bed, alone, and without any music or smelling oils or candles.Let your mind take you on a journey around the world, any scenic or exotic place you wish. Let your mind create the feel, smell and sounds of this journey. To achieve this, you have to leave the worries and concerns, for just twenty minutes. You will find this rejuvenating and refreshing. It will become a practice, a form of day dreaming, but at your timing and place.

Relaxing has been shown scientifically to reduce blood pressure, cholesterol, boost the immune system and ultimately lead to longevity.

Just do it, you can………relax on a journey

Thank you that is good sharing, relax, when you have relax mind there would be peace in the heart also. It is good to find time to relax because hassle of life is too much, so is good to create a time for relaxation by totally go out of your environment to another place to feel new life nature.

I do this often but with meditation music or guided meditation. Being in my mid fifties having worked nearly 30 years I.have become very selfish with my time and what I am willing to do for any one. I believe it's because I worked difficult labor intensive work as an electrician and A US jarhead. I stopped caring about what people think or say. I stopped buying stuff. I save money and exercise or just lay down for a well deserved nap. Now I have no debt, no real bills and nobody hits me up for anything. It's my way of relaxing.
