Help. My Readers Are Getting A Blank Screen After Commenting.

Ey there guys,

I just asked this in "Everything Wordpress" but thought I'd make sure I posed it to all of you... I sure could use your help...

When someone leaves a comment on my site, they now immediately get a blank page with this URL... http://*******************california.com/wp-comments-post.php

I changed themes last week from Mantra to Weaver Extreme. I have cleared my cache several times and changed back to Mantra. I've also deactivated all of the plugins which does return everything to normal until I begin adding plugins back in.

Sometimes I can add a few back in without incurring the blank page, sometimes just one plugin will set it off. And it's not one specific plugin that triggers it.

I sure would appreciate any help anyone can give me!!!

Thanks folks,

Randy

Hi dear. To keep you going, I've prepared a Dose of Encouragement specially for you and for all my other loved ones. Here it is: Hope you will appreciate it.
Have a nice day.
Best Regards

DID YOU GET SORTED :-))

Yep, sure did my friend. I just deleted all themes and plugins and started over with a fresh theme. A little bit of work but everything works great now.

How's things on your side of the puddle???

Ey there folks,

After reading Tom's suggestion I just finished deleting all of the plugins, then switching to some obscure theme and then deleted all the other themes.

Finally I reloaded the Mantra theme which has always been real stable for me and then reloaded all of the plugins and everything seems to be working normally!

Not everything loaded exactly how I'd like but at least now it's all doable...(-;

Just thought I would bring ya' all up to date. Thank ya' again for all of your help!!!

Randy

Randy - clearing cache' isn't always a good thing. I did that once - just once - because I had to delete my blog and then re-install wordpress in order to get it back right. I've never cleared my cache ever again. Luckily I had just saved my whole blog so all I had to do was upload it again but then I had to go through every page and post to make sure it looked right and THAT took time.

Clearing cache on a wordpress blog isn't like clearing cache on your browser. Like I said I've only done it once (that was enough) to know I never wanted to do that again lol

Eversince I did that I learned to ALWAYS ask someone what will happen if I do something I have no knowledge about. I wish I had asked about the cache thing :-)

If you need more help or ideas on how to proceed just ask me.

Will do Paul! Fortunately I saved the site before touching the cache here. You make a really good point about the cache.

I think I'll go and delete themes and see if that gets me back to where I should be. If not, I'll do the 'ol plugins too!!!

Thanks again Paul,

Randy
