Hi KyleAnn, thank you for adding me to your list here on WA. I have been doing it for about six months now, and being really old it takes me time to get there if you know what I mean. We live in Atlanta, GA and are retired now. Where do you live? I got to start doing the affiliate program and start earning a little money. How are you doing with it, or are you just starting? Take care and stay in Touch.. Don Raposo

Hi, Don.

Thanks for following me and joining my network. I've returned the compliment and followed you back.

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate. WA is a great community. There is so much to learn. I am here most days. I learn something every day.

I've been a Premium member of Wealthy Affiliate over 18 months now, and I don't regret one day!

Keep moving ahead. However your day may be, take a little step forward. Some days you'll make significant strikes, other days you will not, but do something every day, however small in building your business.

You will read many stories of WA members succeeding with their online goals. Some have achieved this in a few months, for others, it has taken a couple of years. The common trait for those that have reached their goals is taking action. Everyone who has succeeded has taken small steps every day. Do something, however tiny, every day, and you will reach your goal.

Pace yourself and enjoy your journey.

Best wishes,
Paul.
Be Happy!

Hi, I think I am about to start doing the affiliate part of this after six months of learning. I posted about a dozen pages on my three websites, "bargain-hanger.com being the main one. Where would you advise me to go and start learning about doing the affiliate marketing with all the different sites out there like Amazon, eBay, Yahoo, target etc? Which ones would you recommend that I start with because I am not that technical yet?

Hello Don And Welcome To Wealthy Affiliate.

Since you joined you may have come to the conclusion that internet marketing is a steep learning curve and there is always something new to learn.

You must keep referring to the training (it does get updated from time to time).

If you get really stuck on anything then can I suggest you browse some of the 460+ blogs I have published within WA.

Feel free to send me a message anytime you get stuck and I will endeavour to point you in the right direction.

You have decided to follow me and I will follow you as well.
Have a great day.

No probs Don and if/when you read my blogs make sure you choose the ones that will help you in conjunction with whatever training you are currently taking.

Also you may not be aware of this but it’s a good idea (only if you are interested in your rank within WA) to click the 'Like' icon within a comment if you like it as I have done with yours.

Obviously you don't have to click every single comment or you will be here all day doing nothing else.

But to click the ones you like that are replies to your own comments will be reflected in your WA ranking because it shows you are getting involved with the community.

I'm a prolific writer as are quite a few members.
If you read my profile you would see I am a Scot who lives in our capital city of Edinburgh.
Have a great Saturday.

No, but my eldet daughter is creating our Family Tree.
It has been done before by a cousin and she traced the family back well over a thousand years.
Enjoy your Sunday.

That is cool about your family tree. On my wife's side Patricia Ann Prather, Raposo I traced her family back to the 9th century in Wales they were nobles and left when Cromwell took over and took a lot of the wealth from the nobles. I love finding out about history. My Dad's side came from England or Ireland and went to the Azores in the sixteenth century, I need to connect with Ancestry on the world information and find out more about that other side of the family. Probably will when I slow down from this WA. Have a great one Robert.

You just have to pick a Niche that you have experience and knowledge of and promote products within that Niche.
The secret really is finding a great search term (keyword/keyword phrase)
Marketing online really is a learning curve but with your background in Sales this should not be a problem.
You have transferable skills and you can use them online just like you did off line.
All my blogs contain information that will help you.
You can also type a description of what you want to know in the top question box and you are sure to get choices.

Each one is an hour long so it is going to take me some time to get thru the ones I want. My daughter in law lost her father this morning, so I am going to go babysitting at 3 PM today till their Dad (my son) comes home from work tonight. She is Mexican and is going to fly to Mexico City ASAP. The boys are 8 and 7 years old, and their grandfather stayed with them all last summer here in Atlanta so they got to know him. Well have a nice weekend, hope the weather is halfway decent there. Take care. Don

Hi Dino, sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. My condolences to the family.
Sounds like you have a full plate doing all that you spoke of. I am 82 years old now and in excellent health. I had a beautiful cabin cruise in Panama City Florida and lost it to that damn hurricane Michael in October. I hope to start making money here on the internet and replace it someday. I didn't have it insured, dummy me, but I didn't expect a major hurricane at the marina. What kind of work did you do before you retired, teaching? We live in Atlanta, where do you live? Take care

WOW Don

Sorry to hear about that loss it would take the wind out of your sails for a while for certain.

I worked with some good guys in Asia from Florida who toke a hit on that Hurricane also, but I think they all had insurance.

Well, Myman we are all learning, and sometimes with life, it has a tendency to give us the exams FIRST and the lesson after.

Before I semi-retired was in Operations of Life saving equipment, process and manpower in the Oil and Gas sector

Started in Alberta Canada and finished in Asia, came back and we are such a deep energy crisis that I do not think I will ever see my career active in this field again. (at least 5 years)

Am looking at doing the teaching thing now, because it will put me back overseas and benefit my Online skill sets.

Anything to get me out of Canada and this Cold weather LOL

Thanks for the condolences it is appreciated.

Keep rocking it Don

I know you "Got this for certain"

Cheers from Cold Canada

Hi, post the links to all of your websites here in WA so I can take a look at them. Problem #1 when Google does not play well with affiliate marketing when the robots go over your site. Share each site every other day because each has the siterubix(DOT)com as the host it will go straight to Googles sandbox once they release your sites try again after they kick out of the sandbox.

If you can produce good affiliate blog posts... keyword researched, etc., and also so some basic SEO and social media marketing to promote that content... that is a good 4-6 month model. It is a production/blogging based model that just take time. Like priming a pump. Lots of work to get things started but then the flow continues with minimal effort.

If writing and blogging is to much - same idea, keyword research, etc., etc., but do VIDEO reviews and posts. SEO, Social Media Marketing to promote and away you go. Also builds long term assets like blogging. And, usually, a bit faster and more powerful but the combo of video and blogging is best.

OR... another way... is to just start promoting everything WA has available to promote using social media, forums and things like that. I'll publish a training about that method here in a few weeks because I'm setting it up to promote WA myself this way. To get an idea... visit https://twitter.com/mlm_leads which is my twitter page. This is all automated. And right now we are starting to tool it up to just cycle through over 100 blog posts, courses and other links offered by WA.
