I guess there could be a good combination to create a blog about you and your challenges and with the story about your hair. You can search for hair related products, that have affiliate programs...
In the description of your videos on youtube you can put a link to "more information" to your website where you can make people aware of your product recommendations and thus earning money.
I believe the training you will get here at WA will definitely help you and yield great ideas on how to connect your channel with your website or how you can embed your videos into your website and how to monetize your concept.

I am not certain what you mean. Do you mean you want to be an affiliate marketer for WA and use your Youtube videos to drive traffic to your WA website, or do you mean you are trying to make money doing something on Youtube and want to know if the WA training would be applicable to that?
Well I already have hair videos out there. I want to know how I can make money on you tube with the training from WA?
But see the first thing you said I hadn't though of...being an affiliate marketer for WA and use my you tube videos to drive traffic to my WA website! So much to learn!
This could help with keywords and help you get traffic to your youtube channel. And that's what will end up making you money. Traffic. You could also connect your youtube channel to your website (the one you build here at WA)
I'll let some other folks answer as well. I'm sure there are several ways WA could help you monetize your youtube channel.
