Checking In-Accountability-Site Health
Good afternoon WA community!!! I wanted to give an update as to what I've been doing. I like doing this because it provides a measure of accountability not only to myself but to you as well. I'm still very green around here but I feel I can give other newbies encouragement if they see what I've accomplished and what I'm struggling with. We're not alone!!
So, I became a starter member on June 21st and upgraded to premium on June 27th. I've FINALLY chosen two domain names: ReadEveryStory and HappyWorkingforMe. ReadEveryStory is the only one active at this time. I've been very, very slowly working through the tutorials. I don't like to move on until I'm able to check off the tasks in each section. Sometimes that might take a while but that's ok, right? Gotta make sure I know what I'm doing! Pretty much I'm at a standstill in trying to develop content. I must admit I was a bit paralyzed. I mean, this is my website and I'm supposed to be "the expert". Very frightening! However I became unparalyzed (is that a word?) after reading this from Kyle in our training: "Don't worry about your content being a masterpiece, your audience will decide that for you. It is better to create content with more speed then try to perfect your content before you publish it. Your readers will help you determine what sort of content they like and don't like, so don't fret about perfection".
So, with that I did some research and went to work. It was very freeing. Now my site health is siting at "getting better" which made me very proud. I'm 80% for publishing frequency and 80% for content quality and variety. Still have SO MUCH to do like visitor engagement, site trust and website feedback. All of which scares me. It's hard putting yourself out there to receive feedback but I know it's only going to help in the long run.
Well, I hope this post encourages someone. Take your time, go through the tutorials but most importantly...have fun!

Thanks for sharing...I started WA about the same time. I don't have my website up yet...working on that tomorrow. :)
