So Very Thankful!

Christmas time brings happy memories, thoughts and feelings to mind and it is by far my most favorite time of the year! Memories of candy canes, staring into snowglobes, the smell and sound of a crackling fire in the fireplace, the smell of pine and beautiful shiny ornaments on the tree, presents, cinnamon and spices wafting through the air, smells of gingerbread baking in the oven and my mother busying herself in the kitchen while singing a Christmas carol in the background. What kind of memories does Christmas time bring for you?

I am so grateful for all of these beautiful memories that come to me during this very special time of the year.

For some folks out there, Christmas is just like any other day of the year, bringing pain and sorrow for the loss of a loved one through suicide or natural causes, losing a job, not having enough food on the table, not enough money to buy their child a present, the loss of their home, no one to share the holidays with...the list goes on and on.

I am asking each and every one of my WA family to remember the homeless, the not so fortunate out there during this Christmas season. Give a smile to pass on to someone on the street, give your waitress an extra few dollars, pay the person's toll behind you, buy a homeless person a cup of coffee or a meal, just give what you can to those less fortunate.

Each of us have our daily struggles, but if you could give at whatever level you can, it would be so very appreciated to the person receiving your gift! And, it would give you such a wonderful feeling inside.
