Why every marketer should befriend G+
Google Plus is now 2 years old. Some of you probably befriended it when it was just a toddler, but it has yet to be everyone's social and/or marketing friend.
G+ might not be the popular offspring Google was hoping it to be, but it has nonetheless done it's proof. A recent survey research (60,000 people) shows that it has more friends visiting than LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram. In the US, it has as many friends as Twitter does.
In no way a rival to Facebook, 72% of people visit Facebook monthly / 22% of people visit G+ monthly, researchers insist every marketer should use Google Plus. Here are more reasons why:
The report shows that the top brands studied for the research have 90% as many friends for their BFF G+ as their Twitter buddies.
Actually, G+ is a great friend to these brands as it brings in more than YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram combined.
Also, the brands' friends engage more with the Google Plus brand posts than they do on Twitter.
Although it has recently been referred to as a loner by a New York Times article, most marketers suggest brands to make G+ one of their besties as it does affect search positions.
So go on, don't be shy! Introduce yourself and your business to the friendly Google Plus.
