Hi there,

This is me with my family and my parents. I'm the guy on the front right in the red sweatshirt. Thanks for reading. I just wanted to get my blog started, so here goes!

Anybody Relate To These Realities?

Why I Want To Provide Help For Parents Who Desire To Stay At Home With Their Kids

From the time my wife and I were first married, our plan was that I, would be the breadwinner, and if we were blessed with children, my wife would be freed up to stay at home with our children. We wanted to really live out our values and place our children ahead of our pursuit of material things or feeling pressured to 'keep up with the Joneses' so to speak. If that meant reducing our lifestyle, so be it, and we were committed to that.

As things turned out, after we supported one another through our degree programs, we both worked until we had our first child, five years later, and then my wife was able to remain home from that point on for the next 15 years or so.

15 Years Later...

In 2014, we were finally able to realize a dream when we purchased a modern cape-cod style farm house on 5 acres with 5 outbuildings all prepped for horses, chickens, pigs, and whatever! We purchased some necessary equipment and animals: truck, trailer, lawn tractor, 4-wheeler, horses, etc. and were ready to begin enjoying our new lifestyle. Since we were taking on extra expenses, my wife went back to work, at least part time, until my wife was injured on the job, and had 4 head injuries within 5 years. This caused a great reduction in her stamina, memory and strength, not to mention her ability to work as a nurse again.

So, after about a year of discussing and processing, we decided that we needed to let go of the acreage and farm, both for financial and practical reasons, and move to downsize to a smaller home and move to a city lot. We have done that, just 2 months ago, but are still very much in need of extra income, as our 3 teenage kids approach young adulthood and all the potential expenses that come along with that! My retirement isn't what it should be, and we simply need much more financial margin, so that we can meet the needs of our family, and live more generous lives.

So, here I am at Wealthy Affiliate, beginning the training and development of my own website to begin promoting Wealthy Affiliate to other people like myself and my family, who may be in similar situations and require extra income, but need to do it from home, while maintaining a family. That's why I want to pursue helping this group of people out there.

Thanks to all who have extended thier offers for help to me as I get started, and I look forward to learning and growing and being able to in-turn assist others as they get started, as I grow in my experience with Wealthy Affiliate.

I'm grateful to Carson and Kyle for developing this platform and online business and for the professionalism and thoroughness with which they have done it. It's truly a gold mine and an incredible value and I'm very enthusiastic to pursue the journey ahead.
