Taking a Break

First off, taking a break is NOT quitting. After a couple of weeks here, I took a break and it felt like I was quitting. I beat myself up for a few days. Then, my attitude changed. Even as it did, it took two days for me to realize it.

I live in a remote area. As a practicing hypnotist, I used to share a small office in a busy area. That office closed and I opted to work from home. I discovered that my previous clients did't want to drive to my country home. I entertained the thought of retiring from that hobby, even though I enjoy the work as it's always about helping others.

Mentally, I had given up, leading to my decision to join Wealth Affiliates. My goals are still the same: Helping others. With the program here, working at home is now working for me.

A funny thing happened with my hypnosis business, Two new clients in two days, out of the blue. One is local, more or less. The other is from the vicinity of my previous office.

My Insight

I "gave up" on the hypnosis business and mentally let it go, it sprang back suddenly with no effort on my part. Giving up, taking a break, proved beneficial. I plan to limit the time I spend doing that work. It's a one-on-one in person work. It's enjoyable, but time-consuming. I'm going to schedule time for 2 appointments a month, no more. I've decided that Wealthy Affiliated is the best use of my time and I don't want the other to interfere.

The best use of my time now is to dig deep into the training here. I've been shy about setting goals, that is changing too.
