I am linking (linking) from my home page to other pages on my site that are landing pages?
I can use buttons, or I can use a top drop-down menu?
Or I can use both?

I personally just use the other page URL.
saves a lot of bother and the search engines like internal links.
Downloading images to my WP site, I am getting "http ERROR". Why? and What to do?
Just reload the page and try again. Should work. I get this sometimes if I leave the page open overnight and try uploading.
I have not yet experienced this. Can you provide more detail into exactly what you're doing and at what point it happens?
Sometimes this happens to me too. Often, if resizing doesn't work, I empty my cache and then it works.

I assume you are talking about uploading images to media library...
If so, you get the HTTP error because the image dimension (resolution) is too big ... Resize it offline and will work
I've gotten that error, too and could never figure out why I was getting it. I have learned something new from you with that and will do that next time I get it.

Google console and Google Analytics are part of Google Webmasters we need them because we need to be found in Google.
Analytics shows us data and where we get our traffic from. They are totally free and you will come across them as you move forward.
They are essential to our online business websites. I hope that helps you. Please take your time and dont pass the training on this. It is super important.
We type things in to google to find things so they also need to find us and know we are there. Take each step as you go along and it will all fall into place for you.

I'm only continuing my membership with them until they close. I have several followers there and will take advantage of whatever following I have until it's no more.
Thanks merlynmac---Guess it would make sense to go with something that is going to be there.

So true. I know the training says go get a Google Plus account but since they're closing I wouldn't....Just pick another social media account, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. and go from there. I actually use several, why limit my viewer base?
The net on this issue is more than confusing, while the consensus at WA makes sense.

None and there's no reason to sign up - eventually WA is going to remove all references to G+
l never a fan of Google +, since they're closing down why waste our time on something not beneficial.
Agreed. I only used G+ as an additional ranking single for SEO other then that I never use it.

According to news releases, Google + is scheduled to shut down in Aug. 2019. Currently you can still get in there and post.
They decided to give non commercial users plenty of time to migrate what they need over to other sites. You should be safe for now. I will tell you this though, according to my sites analytics, Google + is extremely weak and Facebook only tops them, barely. Pinterest is showing the biggest numbers of all the medias.
I am sure others will chime in shortly and maybe they can provide additional information that can help.
