Yeah my second time here. I have been letting my WA rank slip as I have learned a few new things about affiliating and the WA. From Day 1 I was on a steady climb all the way to 54 when my good old physical ailments put me out for about a week straight and I watched my WA rank just slide away.
The interesting part that I did learn is that just like adding posts to social media platforms on certain days at certain times will give you very different effects, the same goes for WA rank. Most of all I realized that WA rank within the top 200 made no real difference but the top 100 became very influential. I also found that my site made the greatest advancement when I didn't bother with looking or concerning myself with WA rank.
Today receiving my top 200 badge yet again how important WA rank is in feeling positive about helping other here at the WA. The past 24 hours I strived to help people anyway that I could and the jump in rankings was absolutely amazing. What a great feeling to help so many people and to be able to see an actual reward for it.
From helping solve problems, to teaching something new, to helping someone grow to most importantly make some people get over a hurdle of self doubt and overall negativity to continue to grow was the best feeling of all for myself and the people I was helping.
I also learned that not everyone can be helped or can be cheered up or can understand a joke but should that deter you from trying to help? Absolutely not! You should help anyway you can and expect nothing in return but to feel in your own heart mind and soul that you did try your best in a positive manner. Not everyone will take it for what it is or use it for how it should be used but thats there own prerogative.
So what does all this mean? Everyday here at the WA, no matter what one may think or say or even interpret, strive for your personal best, help grow the community in a positive and forward momentum and realize you can only do your best and not care about how others take it. Make your own waves, blaze your own path, help our thy neighbor and be true to yourself, then and only then will success find you....at the very same time you may be rewarded in a trivial way but don't these little trivial ways make you feel good, they surely do.

Very true Karen, very true words to live by. We just have to learn to be able to recognize a lost cause. I know that sounds highly negative and unproductive but as I recently discovered, some people you simply can`t help, some people just like to vent online and have no advice given in return. Some people just don`t want to be happy or be supported. Some people just can`t handle a joke or have a sense of humor.
Rather than waste your energy and resources on them, learn to recognize these individuals and then focus your positive energy on someone who wants needs and deserves these gifts we offer.

Funny thing about ranking. I'm almost embarrased with even having a rank. I really don't know enough to help others I just reply to my emails & try to be polite.

When I started here I was as green as anyone. No joke but I even needed help turning on my laptop and signing into windows. I had always avoided computers because they just flared up my learning disability. Just keep learning and reading others posts, you will soon start to see where you can help and you will be amazed at how much you already know after completing the first course and what your able to help out with.
Just believe in yourself as I believe in you. Even if you don`t know the answer to a particular problem you can still help guide someone to find the answer. A lot of people will almost give up and become frustrated before they even start to problem solve which is where I first started focusing my help as this was my ex-spouse so I learned to push someone along without making them feel pressured or to feel less of themselves.
Some people simply need some inspiration or even just some direction. Others may just need justification, no matter the need, you can always help someone and I am sure you will come into your `helper`role sooner than you think.

I do have some pretty hairy beliefs so I don't 'go there' as I don't want to upset people. Also what one believes today, one may not believe tomorrow. But I have to bite my tongue sometimes and not blurt out something not acceptable.
Humans are precious, and there are a lot of non humans out there that really dish out the dirt.

So true, adopting a selfless attitude and providing support and advice to the community allows us all to learn and grow together. The power and impact of building relationships shouldn't be underestimated. When you think about it the whole affiliate marketing industry is in fact built entirely upon mutually beneficial relationships between affiliates, product owners and networks. To have anyone to sell/promote products to we also need to build positive relationships with our customers.
By reaching out and helping others you are far more likely to receive help and support (and purchases via your affiliate links) yourself.

Thanks for your kind wishes of recovery as well. Unfortunately, it`s only until the next episode as I have my condition for life only to worsen over time but I do what I can now till I can no longer do it anymore.
Not sure if you have heard of Master Ip Man, Grandmaster of Wing Chun, Master of Bruce Lee. He had a very serious stomach ailment all his life. Although he had to work within the physical limitations of his illness, he never let the illness stop his forward movement towards reaching his goal. He may have slowed but never stopped. I use him as my motivation, determination, and inspiration.

Very true Big Mike although there are not as many people who strive for this way of thinking and life due to our growing daily stresses. It tends to make people attack problems more on a defensive plain as opposed to striving for a positive goal by looking for the positives in a particular situation. When a defensive mindset is used, they get stuck in the "what if..." frame of thinking. This is why I try to always help everyone that is feeling down or feel they haven't met their goals or milestones and consider it a failure. Use a little humor, some support to disarm them and then refocus them in the right direction. If your successful at that, their positiveness then becomes infectious and spreads across to others making your efforts that much more powerful. But as we all know, some people cannot be cheered up or cannot accept a joke, then focus your efforts on someone who can use and appreciate your efforts.
