To start anew or work with what I've got?
Been doing a bit of reading and watching some of the videos. It's late so I'm off to bed but one question rolling around is "Do I try to monetise my current blog (geekonomicon.wordpress.com) or kick off something completely different with the aim of making it as profitable as possible?"
On the one hand, my WP blog is already established and gets a bit of traffic, but not a lot, certainly not enough to create a consistent revenue stream. It's also my own baby and I use to blog about whatever takes my fancy, most of which is (spoiler alert here) somewhere along the geeky spectrum.
If I build something totally new and shiny, I can take a very focused commercial outlook to it and really drive home as much traffic and affiliate marketing business through it as possible.
I'll be interested to hear anyone else's opinions on this. I won't be checking on this until Monday midday more than likely. I have an early morning date with a hot nurse armed with sharp needles. ><

You're not alone, man. I had my own blog on WordPress that had a small following and regular commenters but my dream was of course to have it explode, and with that would come revenue, so I came here to get the training and it's been awesome. What I did is I created, kinda like what you alluded to, a "work" site, where I started from scratch and I'm following all the lessons and getting it going. Then, I basically apply that same knowledge to my "me" site and it's able to grow as well. I actually brought over my "me" site from WP to WA just so I could handle everything from one spot. I'm really loving it to be honest.
They actually kinda go hand in hand as different as they are. BatmanTravels.com is my personal travel blog and Traveltheworldmakingmoneyonline.com is my "work" site for people just like me wanting to travel the world and not work for anybody but themself.
Don't overwhelm yourself though. One site is enough work and two can be hectic. Best of luck to you man!
Thanks for the reply Eric! I think that building something new seems like the best way to go, so I can really focus on what works, drive traffic and do some list building.
