Why I like Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Creative Cloud gives users access to a collection of software for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, and more. For WA and websites using WordPress, I would recommend at the very least Photoshop for editing pictures. Other programs in Creative Cloud include Illustrator for graphic design, Premier Pro and After Effects for Video editing, Audition for editing sound and Dreamweaver & Muse for website development. I have been using Adobe Products since 2001 and I really like them.

I see a lot of questions regarding photo editing on WA so here I have listed the pros and cons for Photoshop:

Pros:

• You can transform pictures artistically.
  In Photoshop, pictures can be transformed into a charcoal drawing, a watercolor rendered art, and many others. You can really do a lot of things in this software. You can even choose to make it like a photocopied work, a stained glass art, and others using the Filter tool.
• You can correct photography mistakes.
  Even if your photograph doesn’t really look good or has certain mistakes, you can still adjust and enhance that in Photoshop. It can cover up poor lighting, marks on the picture, dark photos, red eyes and others. You can also crop the picture if there are some parts which were mistakenly included when you took it. You may use a brush to edit marks and even match the colors with the existing picture.
• You can change the color of a picture.
  Your colored pictures can turn into black and white in just one click. You can even edit some parts and change the color or even add effects using gradient and other tools. Some change the entire photo into sepia or other colors.
• You can make art works using brushes.
  There are so many Photoshop brushes that you can choose from. This gives a special effect to your photo or the layout that you are working on. You will see how brushes could bring your design to the next level when you get to choose the right one and apply it to your design.
• You can artistically combine graphics with text.
  In graphic designing, images and text should always work well together in order to have a great output. In Photoshop, you will not merely combine them but you can even find better ways to make it look artistic and attractive. Strokes, drop shadows, bevel and emboss and other effects can give more emphasis to your text. Images can also look better even by simply adjusting brightness, contrasts, exposure and others.
• You can restore old photos.
  Old family pictures for sure have worn out and before Photoshop came, these pictures end up in trash bins. But these days, you can restore those pictures and refresh the memories of the old times. Using healing brush, clone stamps, patch tools and others, you can make old photos look new again.
• You can create different graphic design projects.
  Aside from editing photos, you can actually start from scratch and create a greeting card, a business card, a poster, and others.
• You can remove unwanted objects in your picture.
  You have the perfect picture except there is something not so attractive in the background or the side of the object you are focusing on. Use the content aware move tool to delete the object and still have a complete background.
  
  Removing the original object (man with suitcase) and inserting other objects in the same photo.
• You can create your own artwork, exactly when you want it, and exactly how you want it.

Cons:

• There is a cost but it’s only $9.99 per month
• You may need some training – The Photoshop interface may be confusing to some but with just a couple lessons it will all make sense. There is plenty of training on the internet for Photoshop users. Some have a small cost but there are some free lessons as well. In addition, Adobe offers many tutorials for their applications.

There's a reason "Photoshop" has become a verb in the English language: The software does things to images that approach the unbelievable. Therefore, if you use a lot of photos on your website, I would strongly recommend Photoshop.
