I recently chose to end my subscription to WA at the end of July in order to pursue a joint venture with my wife to create a market place for teachers similar to Te
You want to build a platform. The question is how and what language will it be programmed?
If you use WordPress, you can host it through Wealthy Affiliate, if you are still member, and enjoy the whole security package and great help desk support.
Surely a good start and low in price in the beginning, once you grow in users, you can always move out to a faster host, which will cost you much more.
And you have a great community here, who can help you with questions and problems, you may come along your way....

I was thinking of using WordPress to start this venture. Thank you for the help.
Is there any specific training on the WA platfom on marketplaces or do I need to search outside.
Not that I have found nor know off, you will have to look outside for that. Try youtube, great source for help on this topic.
And goolge by adding "forum" to it, as there you will find others with experiences in this subject.
