You Need to Focus
One of the hardest things you'll have to do for online success is TO FOCUS.
You can think of it in layers.
LAYER 1 - YOUR ONLINE BUSINESS VS. EVERYTHING ELSE
Layer 1 can be divided into everything in your online business and everything else relating to your life.
Your first challenge will be putting focused attention on your business.
Have you carved out specific times in your week for that? A modest goal is 10 hours per week. If that gives you heartburn, then you really need to rethink your goals and priorities.
I cannot tell you how to run your life. I simply know that to create quality content and a quality website requires a dedicated chunk of time.
But here's the thing. I don't have stats, but I can almost bet the average person WASTES 1-2 hours per day (if not more) on non-essentials: streaming, binge-watching, social media, reading political blogs, etc.
Look for these time wasters and delete them from your life. Then set apart that time to building your business.
LAYER 2 - YOUR WA BUSINESS VS. THE INTERNET IN GENERAL
Layer 2 can be divided into your WA business (everything inside this platform) and everything else on the Internet that is related to WA.
Your second challenge will be getting past the so-called shiny object syndrome.
The "shiny object syndrome" is where you join every list, attend every webinar, and buy every shortcut program and basically get overwhelmed with WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION.
You are getting 100 different messages, some good, some not so good, and so you limp along with your WA website.
You think you are making progress because, after all, you are learning a lot about the Internet and about online marketing. But it is all very UNFOCUSED.
So here are my recommendations.
Unsubscribe from every list, guru, and program and don't spend another dime on anything Internet related until you have finished the WA training.
LAYER 3 - YOUR ENTREPRENEUR / BOOTCAMP TRAINING VS. YOUR WA BUSINESS
Layer 3 can be divided into your Online Entrepreneur training (and Bootcamp if applicable) and everything else inside of your WA platform.
Your third challenge will be eliminating the distractions from inside of the platform.
Perhaps you are jumping around the training, or attending different trainings. Maybe you are blogging internally, which is good, but you are neglecting content for your own site. Perhaps you are spending too much time on chat, reading other blogs, etc.
These are all good things. However, if they take FOCUS away from your most important tasks, then they can be a problem.
FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS
This is what I tell Premium members when I welcome them to WA.
The rules for success are simple: focus, follow the training step-by-step, don't quit.
As you can see, the first two rules have to do with FOCUS. You must have laser like focus and commit yourself to completing the training.
Thus, before you stream, jump on FB, answer a chat, attend another training, read about that politician you like to hate, or participate in the 100 other non-essential activities in your day, YOU MUST FOCUS ON COMPLETING THE NEXT TASK IN THE TRAINING.
That's it. That's the game. Step-by-step.
