How To Find The Time To Blog.

Finding the time to blog or create any type of an online business takes time away from something else in

your schedule. After talking to a lot of people and managing a large business I have noticed a trend. People often say they don't have the time to do the things they need to do. This is also a reason they will give as to why they can't build an online business as an affiliate blogger.

I used the "TIME" excuse for years and it was always easy to convince myself that I simply didn't have the time.

We all have the same amount of time to blog. We all have 24 hours in each and every single day. What we do with that time is the really important question we should be asking.

Here are some suggestions on how to find the time to blog.

Wake Up Early

Waking up early is an excellent way to get in some work on your blog before your busy day starts. I started waking up between the hours of 4 - 5 AM many years ago and it has been a great decision. It's so much easier to get things done before the rest of the household wakes up.

If you have your agenda ready to go and everything set out for the morning you will develop a routine and get a lot done early in the morning.

Stay Up Late

For whatever reason you can't wake up early you may be able to stay up late.

Some people like to stay up late or maybe it just works out better with your schedule. The same rules apply as waking up early in the morning and it all comes down to developing a routine.

If you have kids or other responsibilities get those completed and get the kids off to bed. Have a location in your home that you can have some privacy and get right to work on your blog.

This is not going to be your routine forever however, you must block out time and dedicate it to building your blog.

Limit Watching TV

I like various shows just as much as anyone and I'm not saying never watch one of your favorite shows. The point I'm making here is to schedule time to watch the programs you want. Obviously you will need to limit that time so you can dedicate more time to writing keyword targeted blog posts.

Prioritize Your Activities

I realize we all like to have fun and do things with friends and family. At some point you will need to determine if you really want to do what's required to build your blog business. The majority of people want to have money and time freedom but, very few are willing to put in the initial effort.

Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won't, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can't.

Avoid Time Vampires

Time vampires are the people in your day to day life that will suck the time out of your day. I have noticed that when I close myself in a room and put my phone in another room I get a lot of stuff done. People will take your time if you allow them. Have you ever been focusing on getting a blog post done and every 5 -15 minutes some minor interruption throws you off track? That is a time vampire and they prevent you from fully focusing on the task at hand.

Don't let time vampires take your time and prevent you from building your website.

Schedule Your Life

Scheduling your life sounds so simple and easy to do. It's so easy to do very few people actually do it. A lot of people wake up every day without any clear cut idea of what they will do. If you plan out your day you will schedule the time you will write your blog post.

You can schedule your day out and do your best to stay on track by not allowing others to hold you up.

Buy Time

There was a time in my life when I would do things that I should have been paying others to do for me. For example I would change my own oil and mow my own grass. I would do a lot of routine maintenance things that I should have paid a service to do. Those tasks would take valuable time for me to do when I could have been working on more important things.

When you pay a company to do those tasks for you you are buying back that time so you can do something else. In this case you will be building your own business by blogging and attracting interested people to your blog post and affiliate products.

Stay Busy And Get Things Done

Someone who stays busy and gets things done is the opposite of someone who procrastinates. Stay busy and committed to your schedule and blogging goals. The only way to gain any traction and really get traffic going to your website is to get post written.

Conclusion

Most of the time saving ideas in this blog are common sense and really easy to do. I think they are so easy to do that a lot of people just don't do them. Day to day life seems to slip right past us if we don't do our best to stay on track.

some of my friends and family have expressed how they have so little time to get things done. When I shared with them the things I've written in this blog they said it sounds like too much work.

When I applied these simple strategies to my life I was able to get much more done and it actually gave me time to do more in my life.

The really great thing about blogging and building an affiliate marketing business is the residual income and time freedom. The way to accomplish the freedom lifestyle is by following some of the steps above and prioritizing what you need to do to accomplish your goals.

A nice examination on ways to be more productive. I remember when I was self publishing, everyone including my partner didn't view it as work and felt very free to interrupt me and hand me lists of things to do. I already see a similarity in blogging.

"Oh, he's not busy, he's on the computer online." Their mind somehow equates this to their playing Facebook games and whatnot.

Awesome post. Valuable information

Thank you for responding.

Great post! I’ve been wondering if others compose/write their posts during the chaos?

For example while cooking dinner I often have my laptop 💻 open and on the counter composing a paragraph here and there. Or sometimes I have the TV on in my office and have to mute it when I need to focus on finishing a thought while I’m writing.

Or do you need solace? Which can be so hard to find.

I wonder what others do? Please share
Thanks

I think what is mostly you find practical; there's no set rule. It depends on the individual as long as you do not compromise on quality.

Thank you for the feedback.
