My Successes and Setbacks
Since coming to WA, the things I've learned so far absolutely astound me. Before I joined, I had created a website elsewhere and using the knowledge I had then, I thought I was on a roll. Little did I know I was missing a wealth (ha, no pun intended) of information that made so much of a difference it would make my head spin (and it has).
So far, being here I created a website (success!) that is, in my opinion this early in the game, thriving in ways my novel platform never did. It's something I love to talk about (another huge success- passion is what makes this world go 'round), something I feel is important, and something I continue to learn about. I've created quality content, I've learned about SEO, I've done more things I didn't even know existed than I can count. And I'm not even halfway done yet.
I've had some setbacks. Content length is the thorn in my side. I'm a writer, I can't help it. And my topic of choice tends to require pretty lengthy posts which I'm afraid might overwhelm my audience. I still have yet to figure out how to get my picture as the gravatar on my site and I'm going to be completely honest, not being able to figure it out makes me want to punch myself in the face.
But ultimately, I know that I have all the tools here to figure it out. I have the training, I have the support, I have a huge network of people that have been here that can help and that I can help because I've been where they were. It's amazing.
Just had to share. I'm pretty proud of myself, if I may say so, very humbly. ;)

You are doing great.
As far as creating an Gravatar, you do that through WordPress.org -- you create an account (on WordPress.org) and link your WordPress site to your account.
And the writer thing - yeah, I know because I too like to write....you can always create sub-topics and create new pages as drop-downs. Not sure what else to say...
But congrats on your success! :)
