Help With GA4 code insert
I copied /pasted the code from the GA4 area using Headers and Footers. It showed with exclamation marks and how to indent etc and I didn't know what to do with that. I also copied it into the SEO general settings area. Now I have two lines of words above the header on every post and I'm trying to get rid of them. I also deleted the code I'd copied into the Header area.
Anysuggestions would be so appreciated!

did you copy the whole snippet from ga4 to add to headers and footers...
if not then you need to find it again to copy it all...
to find it goto your analytics and make sure it is on the right property at the top and go down the bottom of the sidebar and click on admin...
click data streams in hte second column..
then the arrow on the data stream...
on the next page scroll down to the bottom and click on view tag instructions..
and on the screen that open click on install manually...
and now copy the whole of the code snippet
and paste it into headers and footers - head section...
you shouldn't see any of th ecode at the top of your site...
Thank you, that's exactly what I did. But when I paste the code in, I get the ! coming up and remarks about indents and more.
i tend to use ad inserter - but it should be the same process...
i know headers and footers has updated its name to code snippets - you have kept it updated...
if it still persists then maybe talk to site support....
I deleted the code and then the unwanted stuff above the header on the posts disappeared.
