What is AIO and Do You Need It?

So, we now have another term to add to your glossary and knowledge: AIO.

Note - I am not talking about the All-in-One SEO plugin, also known as AIO!

What exactly is AIO, and should it concern you?

AIO is Artificial Intelligence Optimization, and yet another industry is springing up around this concept, in much the same way as Prompt Engineering is now a viable career.

AIO is the art of optimizing AI-generated content, so that you have the perfect combination of AI material and human input.

And there are now writers who offer their specialist services in this field.

Maybe it's something I should look into!

Hopefully, you all read my previous post on how to spot AI content, and let's be honest, posts written in this way are not going to rank.

Rather than simply publish whatever AI has generated for you, you need to optimize it, so let's see how we do that.

You can consider this as CRAFT editing.

C.R.A.F.T stands for:

C: Cut the fluff.

R: Review, edit, optimize.

A: Add images, visuals, and media.

F: Fact-check.

T: Trust-build with personal story, tone, and links.

This is pretty self-explanatory, but I have seen numerous posts that ignore these basic rules, where it is evident that the post hasn't even been read before it was hurriedly published.

Long rambling introductions, bizarre terms and phrases that nobody uses in real life, no images, or irrelevant images, incorrect facts and finally, no personality, no evidence of personal knowledge and expertise.

If you use AI content, add this useful list to your workflow.

The AI-assisted reviews with personalized prompts seem to be doing better.

Content creation using AI and creative prompts to make it your own seems to suffer and has a ranking problem. Is it because you are just pulling the already-known information?
Google wants more of your originality and problem-solving power to answer the questions?
Like many, I am surprised Quora content is ranking well.
I would appreciate it if anyone has time to read and comment.

I have decided to craft a reply to your post. I have yet to embrace AI, though I recently had coffee with an individual who tried to light a fire under me in regard to using AI to help my sites.

He made several compelling points, and also he let me know what his plan for AI was (it is not something I would have thought of), but I can see how it will work very well.

Thanks for the reminder to not only use AI but to make it my own.

Yeah that's from Content at Scale, it's not a new term. That term been existence since the inception of Content at Scale. I watch Julia, the president of the company, they coined that term, her videos on YouTube craft is developed by them. You didn't mention them ( I get it can't use as promotion) but I know them by the way they are truly expensive. I did one try of using their service its no different than any AI generated content like Koala writer or auto blogging. And many do rank but they don't last. Jay has admitted using Koala writer to test it out. I tried it and its no different than ChatGpt or Jasper to me they are all the same. Robotic generated straight text content without personality, Urgh!

Hi - oddly enough, I had not heard of Content at Scale and actually found the details about AIO and CRAFT on another SEO site, and found it interesting enough to share.

I did take the one-month trial of Koala, but didn't like it!

Dear Diane, thank you for such an instructive article. Totally agree with CRAFT! AI is here but using it properly requires continuous education and practice. It's amazing as tool for brainstorming, from taking your ideas from 0 to 1 but for sure, own human touch and voice are vital to a successful use.

This is a helpful guide for anyone working with AI-generated content. The C.R.A.F.T. approach is a straightforward and effective way to ensure that the content not only reads well but also resonates with readers. Neglecting these steps could indeed lead to a lack of engagement, so it's a valuable reminder. Thanks for sharing these insights!
