Sell Your Custom GPT!
So, a very short post as there are not many details available as yet.
But for those of you who have taken advantage of the Explore feature in ChatGPT, and built your own custom GPT, there will shortly be an opportunity to sell them.
The long-awaited OpenAI GPT store will be opening next week.
There are lots of videos on YouTube that walk you through building a GPT, and the software within ChatGPT seems pretty user-friendly.
The more popular GPTs are getting thousands of uses, so this could be quite a decent side income!
And, you can SEO optimise them, so they show up in Google searches, potentially bringing buyers.
I will bring you more information as I find out.

For those who haven’t done it, it’s very easy to build a custom GPT since ChatGPT literally walks you through the entire process.
I have GPTs for a large variety of use cases.
GPTs made by experts in various areas of on-line marketing have enormous potential to benefit the buyers and seller. 😎

That's an interesting question.
GPTs are different in their basic functionality from Chatbots.
Yes, AI is quickly saturating the on-line marketing world in many respects, but there is always opportunity for those who think outside the box. 😎

Hey Diane, thanks for sharing this interesting post. I have heard that ChatGPT may go bankrupt in 2024. What is the chances of this happening? Also, do you think we could really profit from selling a custom Chat Bot? Would it not become saturated quickly? For what purposes would we be selling it?
Hi - well, obviously I have no idea whether they could go bankrupt, but that suggestion came out in August 2023, and there has been nothing further since.
There are very few details as to how this is going to work, or whether there will be any kind of quality control or limits to stop it from becoming too saturated.
Currently, there are over 27,000 custom GPTs, and the one with the most usage (a logo maker) has had over 68,000 people use it so far.
So, you can imagine, even if it was sold for just $1, it could be very lucrative.
I personally use a lot of other people's GPTs, I do believe there is a demand for it.
It looks like you did your homework. Thanks, I am somewhat clued up with ChatGPT, but you are an expert already. I know my way around how to use it, but you know a lot more about news and stats.
