Time moves so fast.
“How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?” --Dr. Seuss
Time keeps getting away from me, it seems.
I always have more goals than I have minutes in the day. But I suppose that's good, in some ways. I'm never bored!
The past few days have been even more of a challenge. Fighting some minor health issues, so that factors in.
But then we've had those major thunderstorms. Now, I really do like thunderstorms. I love the sounds, the lights. And I like the way the air feels.
However, I don't like the electric flickering on and off. And I really don't appreciate that causing our internet to also go off, even if briefly.
The internet is off for a few moments, the posts I was working on didn't update first...and now I've lost a couple of hours worth of work on my sites.
Time...always time....
I muttered after the first crash that locked the post I had active on my computer. Then I accepted life's challenge and dove into trying to remember what I had just completed.
Although I make a habit of saving my work as I go along, I had done quite a bit between saves. My mistake. I should have learned from past times.
I couldn't remember the exact wording I had used, but I think I came close. I like the way it turned out. Sure do wish I had that perfect memory, though.
It happened again yesterday.
Really? Another hours' work lost? Wow. Ok, life, I'll get back my momentum. I haven't been defeated. Slowed down, but not defeated.
Yes, I got the post completed after the storm passed. But time got ahead of me these past couple of days. I'm behind, not because I'm not working. The lost time is from life's storms, I suppose.
For my techy friends, I do have a battery back-up on my computer. But our internet connection is not yet on one. Yet. That will happen soon. Then I will still be at the internet company's mercy, but I'm slowly getting the problems managed that I can control.
Well, in all truthfulness, my son is getting it managed. I have no idea how to set up the entire system he has. My husband's work (he has a computer company--reliable access is a must) necessitates it and my sons are all quite amazing with their knowledge and skills.
So, I won't take the credit. But I will be thankful when those storms and quirks of life are less of a problem.
And I'm counting this week, thus far, as a success. The challenges didn't win. I rewrote and posted. I'm playing catch-up now as I did lose some time. And today we are expecting more storms. But I'm going to continue! (thinking I may do some work off-line, just in case!)
How is your week going so far?
Have a wonderful Wednesday, my friends!

Wow what a pain ! Sorry for all the glitches. Back in the 70's there was a bumper sticker that said
"Onward thru the Fog" .
At the time I thought it was cool but other than that, not a lot of meaning was gleaned from the quote.
At 60+ years of living I have a new understanding and appreciation for this simple phrase !
I'm currently using one word with unlimited meaning and yet takes courage to implement ("Next".)
May all your troubles be small and your good health and happiness large !
haha--maybe that's the problem. I'm always following rabbit trails, so it makes sense that I might fall in the hole!😂🤣😂
Thanks for the morning laugh, Geoffrey!

I wouldn't want to bore you, but suffice to say that for two days I helped my hubby purchase, install and program his new computer. A computer I had to do a factory reset to an hour later as it didn't take the bluetooth headphones he bought.
Salespeople swore left and right that the computer would.
Anyway, don't buy anything other than a Mac. Yes it has its fault, everytime it does an upgrade, I'm afraid I'm going to lose my important files again and be wiped out. At least, now I have everything on Icloud and on a hard disk backup. But, it is 100 x better than Microsoft that is nothing but old versions in a new dressing. So much crap on the windows that come with it, that it took that computer 8 hours to do a factory reset. I hadn't done anything to it yet except to set up his email and download the wallpaper he wanted. Yes, Diane, you are right, time goes by so quickly.
Glad you got it up and running for your hubby!
