How do I edit menu items that are inactive?
I went to the site editor then selected Appearance, then Menu to arrange the menu items in the correct order, but that section is inactive. How do I make it active so I can ed
At the bottom of the section on the left that I believe you are referring to as the inactive items, there should be a button that says add to menu.
Click on the "inactive" item that you want to add and then click add to menu.
Add as many as you like and as soon as they are added to the menu (or moved just a bit to the right, to the main portion of the screen) you can organize them however you see fit!

Than you for the information. Unfortunately, that section is faded out so I can't do anything with it. Would it work if I just "create a new menu" since that is not faded out? Thanks
In course 1 and 2 Kyle explains the menu creation process - have you passed both courses yet? If not, just keep to the training and you'll be guided through the creation process.
Go to WordPress editor Settings, Appearance, Menus. It is faded out because ou haven't selected anything to include in the menu. So on the left side under "pages" click the pages or posts you want to include in your menu. Then click "add to menu". Rearrange as you need then click save.

No, course 1 lesson 4 says to build your site, which I figured out most of it, I just can't figure out how to activate the menu items so I can put them in the correct order. I will continue on and see if I can figure it out.

There are already menu items listed. I did select them but there is no "add to menu" only apply, which I clicked on that, but I still can't do anything with them for some reason.

In that same section "MENU" have you set up your "locations" tab yet? That could be why it's not showing up in the order you want.

Go to the WordPress editor Settings, Appearance > Menus, then go to the Menu Structure and you can arrange it in the order of your choice. I hope it helps. Cheers

Click "Menus" and you will be able to choose the menu you have as your header / footer / side menu (depending on your theme.)
Select the one you want to change and drag the headings into the order you want (top - bottom.)

Someone mentioned the name of the plugin to me over at Live Chat but I can't remember the name. You should go there and ask your question again. Once the plugin is installed, you can start setting up your products. I'm sure there will be a little learning curve, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Hello, Each theme has a specific layout and specific parameters that you can change or adapt to fit your needs. If there are multiples of the same theme then there is something in that theme that has been changed to allow a certain part of the theme to be different. Knowing what themes to choose is somewhat daunting.
The best advice I can give you is to look up all the training and comments here about WP themes and see what others have chosen for their sites. I have discovered the Origami theme which is very basic but allows you to create a site to fit your needs. The training for this site is on utube entitled How To Make a Website with WordPress - CUSTOM! There are also other utube videos on the same page that you might want to bookmark for later reference.
