Beginning My Wealthy Affiliate Adventure
The adventure started three weeks ago on February 25th.
The past few months have been super busy with elder care for my mother and a hard goods business I took online in 2001.
It still functions thanks to the popularity of my products and the WordPress writing platform. Word Press made everything easy when it came to writing but I still lacked the knowledge to make that writing bring traffic to my website.
Just to add to the multi-tasking, a few years ago, I was prompted to "write about it" - the cooking hobby, the travels, the many experiences as a stress reliever from the hard goods business.
So five years ago, I also started a food blog. It was a stress buster.
I was not a total newbie to website "building" but I soon found that I could have made it much easier on myself if I had had some training instead of having to figure it out on my own. I made mistakes which could have been avoided.
In both cases I built a WP site from scratch following lessons learned here and there. But I prefer structure and Wealthy Affiliates provides that scructure and support.
The proof is in the pudding. Everything I learned in the past now makes sense, fits perfectly where it needs to fit and results are almost instantaneous compared to past website building - the SEO, the ranking, a blog post structure, the interlinking, the relevancy.
All the puzzle pieces now fit.
My WA website is already drawing traffic, showing up in Analytics and Search Console. I have a Pinterest account, pins being saved... all in a matter or days. Only thing missing now is more content and sales.
And, after 18 years, I am still learning! I've only watched 2 Friday night webinars but Jay makes certain they are jam packed with information that allowed me to set up goals I never even thought I could even track.
Bottom line? I'm a happy camper and definitely happy to have joined Wealthy Affiliates. It's the icing on the cake. Only thing missing are enough hours in a day. I could use 48 hrs!
Not looking back, just forward and moving on...

I agree with you, Diana. Since I joined Wealthy Affiliate, I've found that some things which had me stumped before have now become clear! Here's to your success!
Lorna, I think the most positive aspect of being a WA member is that I no longer have to guess if I am doing something correctly. It really helps to have steps to follow along with tasks to complete. Cheers!
