Hello,
I'm Deborah and all nickname variations thereof. Until I have a few moments to construct a proper profile description, I hope you'll pardon my awkward attempt at redefining who I am as I contemplate reinvention and cross over from the stay-home-mom category back into monetary based endeavors. My busy 20 year K-12 school district volunteer gig and part time job come to a close after our youngest son graduates high school in June. Big changes are on the horizon.

I'm an artist, a writer, lover of nature and I'm currently the High School Parent Teacher Organization President with a flair for community outreach and fundraising to support education based non-profits and scholarships.

Prior to having children, I worked primarily in sales and customer service. My extensive background in food and bar service as well as travel industry sales, customer service, and safety keeps me acutely aware of current gaps in proper food handling, customer service techniques, and restaurant table presentation, cleanliness, and service. I am passionate about conscientious, efficient customer service but I have no idea how to market my expertise on an affiliate platform. I've considered consulting and onsite training but marketing that service and finding clients might prove to be a constant uphill challenge.

My other passions are in hands on science and keeping arts in education. I’m especially motivated by children's environmental health and toxicity and hope to connect with green companies and promote green products and thoughtful consumerism in order to protect the planet, its current inhabitants, and the children to come from poison. We all deserve clean air, water, and land and should expect safe, non-toxic products.

My other interests are camping, hiking, photography, adventure, exploring, road tripping, star gazing, National Parks, genealogy, antiques, and the great outdoors.

Last but not least, is a great desire to pursue, herbal based homeopathy, aromatherapy, vegetarian friendly consumables, and organic, certified authentic, health supplements without dyes. Along those lines I want to discover and promote skin care and makeup products that are effective, affordable and non-toxic and to offer honest, non biased reviews on spa treatments, home use beauty tools or appliances, and body wraps based on effectiveness, cost, and/or where applicable, durability.

I know I'm all over the map here but one thing is certain, I need to believe in the products and companies I support and I will always give honest, unbiased reviews based on effectiveness, durability, cost, and value.

I hope I haven’t broken any unwritten rules or given too much information and I have managed to convey a modicum of intelligence and clarity to all who happen by because this is still a work in progress.

I look forward to making new friends and will, to the best of my ability, support the community within this wonderfully generous website. Did you really read the entire thing? You’re awesome.

Have a bountiful day.

With Gratitude,
~Deb
DGSquared's Goals 3
Money Goals
#1..I would be happy earning $1000 a month part time to help offset the cost of both son's college, orthodontics, make a car payment on a new car, and have some spare cash to set aside for the occasional road trip or to put towards retirement.
~ * ~

#2.I would be ecstatic earning $4000 and up so I could do all of the above and furnish new, safer, state of art cars to all of my guys, including my wonderful husband.
~ * ~

#3. For starters, I would dedicate 20 hours a week for the first several months to determine if my efforts are actually paying off. Then I would try to work smarter, not harder. However, if and when there are circumstances that need attention, I will see those issues through until they are resolved no matter how many hours it takes
~ * ~
Our family has made due with one income for so long, earning any amount would be a treat. Luckily my husband has been with the DOD for over thirty years. We were never hungry but we did without a lot of material things however, the rewards have been immeasurable.

We made the decision that if we were to have children, one of us would stay home to raise them until they finished school. I haven't had a full time job in over 20 years but I have worked a lot!. If I were to put a price on all of the volunteer hours I've given, and only paid minimum wage of $10 an hour, I would have easily cleared $2000 a month during a few of those years.. However, being at home for my kids and having the ability to volunteer and help other kids in our district and in their classrooms has been the most rewarding job I could have ever imagined.

My last paycheck came in 2010 when I worked 8 hours a week teaching music at our son's elementary school which gave me $480 a month.
I would have balked at these numbers when I worked full time so it feels silly to say that $1000 would make me happy today.

Deb, do not think that from what you where earning at one stage is silly to be saying your happy with $1000 today at this stage. Smaller goals are more manageable and achievable then 1 large leap at the outset.

You have dedicated so much time to the family which is what us parents do and this is great. The kids and your husband had all the wealth in the world with around for them. I believe because of your dedication in time and efforts in so much that you did, you already have a positive thing going and you will reach your goals very easily. I know you can do this:)
