Split your PCs Screen into two Separate Screens
UPDATE: Please refer to this training here instead https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...
Thanks!
Dear Friends!
Most of us work on a laptop or desktop without the added luxury of having two screens/monitors. This will no longer be an issue for you, providing you don’t mind looking at two smaller sized screens on your PC.
Having two screens will give you more flexibility as you work. It will allow you to possibly watch a video, while you type your next post. The combinations are up to you.
Before we begin, let me show you show you the outcome of our goal. Look down here to see the outcome we will achieve. Word document on left and Browser on right.
Now, I will show you two ways (the other subsequently) to do this and you can decide which you will be using after this training. Have fun!
Method 1
Step 1: - Have at least two programs (windows) open in full-screen, e.g.
- a browser
- a word document
Step 2: - Firmly hold down your Windows Key (Do not let go)
- While still holding down the (winkey) select the right arrow key and tap until the current window goes to the extreme right of the screen (current window can go to the left as well, *your choice)
- Release the windows key (winkey)
- You should be seeing all other opened windows on your PC to the left (*or right)
Select the window you want work with.
I selected a Word document.
Now type your post in Word on the left, while you do your research on the right in the browser.
Congrats! You have just become a computer tech.
Tomorrow, I will show you another way to do this and also provide you with some other useful tips. You are going to love these.

This looks awesome, David! Thank you:)

P.S. I don't know about the part of being a computer tech, though. For me, that would take an act of God!
lol. Nothing is impossible Suzi. One step at a time. Everything is easy for those who have spent the time trying to understand!
All the best!

I tried it out today, it’s great! I am on a 10.1 screen which I use for travelling and my iPhone, my resources are minituarized which is making things difficult. My eyes popping out my head!
I like tips like this though!
Thanks David
Wayne
Lol Wayne. I understand your situation. Don't become an insect as Mike said.
All the best!
David
I missed what Mike said, is that like to down size on everything, we become insects and have less scope or presence? I live quite minimalist these days but small computers are good in some situations but not when you are trying to do things on WA.
My eyes are positively popping out my head!
Thanks David!

Hi David,
A man who can do 2 things at once, you're smart!
Thanks for this tip, I dunno if I can check 2 windows at once though, a bit distracting, but heh, I've written it down.
Cheers Jae
:)) You can do your research one browser Jae and blog on the other.
Thanks for sharing!
All the best!

I love this idea and it is a really practical solution to a lot of situations that we find ourselves when doing research, website stuff etc.
However, my solution is a bit different.
I put my laptop next to my desktop and run both, same result as yours but you need to be lucky enough to have two machines that you can use.
I might add that this idea will be a great help for me when I need to go away from home and want to work.
Great, Steve. You can have 4 screens in that case :)).
Yes, the same result if you have two machines.
All the best!
David
That's very cool. I have a Chromebook, though, so this way won't work for me. Maybe I can do it the other way. I'll keep an eye out for it!
Hi Mishael!
You can still do it with this method Mishael: I have a Chromebook around here as well.
Make sure you have at least 2 tabs (programs open)
Use your mouse to click and hold down on one of the tabs
Drag the window to the extreme left or right
Do the same for the other window.
All the best!
David
Thanks, Tom. I hope you can use it to your advantage. Have you tried it yet? It can drive more productivity and save time having to switch between programs.
The bigger your screen the better.
David
I will be working on it soon as I get through over a 100 emails.
I only use a laptop and not my smart phone as I hate using it as it his smarter than I am.
Thanks David for your time, Tom.

Pretty cool, David. I knew how to do this by dragging them into place, but I didn't know the keyboard shortcut(s).
With a nice, widescreen dual monitor setup you can essentially have 4 screens Geek heaven... ;)

Hi Jason!
If your initial screens are large, even more Geek heaven:)
