Writing Tips Revealed - part 2
CHOOSE A TOPIC
What will you write about? Try to choose the subject as unique as possible.
- Not like: I'm going to write about love (too general).
- Better: I'm going to write about the love of impossible lovers.
- Even better: I'm going to write about the impossible love of Romeo and Juliet.
- Much more better: I'm going to write about how the impossible love of Romeo and Julia persisted.
Don't write about people in general, but about a certain group or person, i.e. Charles.
Don't write about cars in general, but for example on that particular Chevrolet.
Don't write about vegetables in general, but select a single kind of fruit, like strawberries.
Please don't be satisfied if your subject is still too general. You can improve this by writing down your first idea and to continue as defined above:
- Better
- Even better
- Much more better
In this way, you force yourself to do it more and more concrete, more and more specific, till you are satisfied with the topic.

That is a great idea. I do tend to be too general and take a lot of words to get to the specifics of what I am writing about. If I use this tip at the beginning it will save time and effort.
