Hosting affiliate program commission
After conducting a research, I came into conclusion, that affiliate programs for hosting offer up to 40% of annual subscription price in commission. At first glance that's way more, that in other niches, but I have to compare apples with apples. Hosting is a subscription, that can last for years, also it's not a daily bread niche. Other products have more demand and can get sold easier, so they provide smaller percentage.
Judging from google trends it's no surprising either - popularity of hosting dropped drastically. Free blog, website and hosting platforms make it almost obsolete. Almost - despite the fact, that positions of shared hosting have crumbled, vps, dedicated and cloud hosting stand firm.
So here is the thing - what commission percentage would you consider fare / inspiring in this context?
