Having the summer of my life but my goals are suffering a bit at WA!

Last Update: August 14, 2014

YES, I am having the summer of my life!

When I first became a member in early June I went hard and got my first website started because kids were in school. Since all three kids have been home since early July they just don't let me sit on the computer and focus on my studies here at WA. But the most important thing is that I am very happy now and enjoying every minute of the summer with them. My life is getting back on track and I have healed mentally, emotionally and physically from my toxic work environment that I left over year ago. I have done all types of activities with them and have had many little mini vacations with them, including Sherkston Shores (North/east corner of Lake Erie by the Canadian/USA border close to Niagara Falls). It is the first time in my parent life that I have been home with my family. It has been a blessing in disguise. Something terrible in life has turned into something beautiful.

I will be hitting the WAU courses and video's tutorials really hard in September. I am soooo looking forward to it!

Please let me know how my fellow WA followers are doing with your own progress? We all need to support and critique each other so that we all succeed in some way or form.

I really need to make this happen so that I can spend most of my time with the people I love and not stuck at work for 70 hours a week like I have done the last 18 years of my life (as you can see in my profile).

Thanks so much for reading and caring!

DES

I always wonder at the trials that come our way ; I think it is fantastic that you so quickly so the upside in being unemployed as an opportunity to bond and be a Father. It has been said that it is not so much what happens, but how we react to what happens that matters.

Thanks for sharing this with the community; your story provides energy and hope to anyone facing a similar set of circumstances.

Des: You have a beautiful family and I am certain you will be glad you spent a lot of time with them in the summer of 2014! You will benefit and they will benefit even more!

Well you have bitten off a big challenge being that you have spent most of your career doing things which don't appear to relate to internet affiliate marketing. That is true of most of us here at WA.

I have observed some members achieve quite a lot in a short period of time by being persistent, asking tons of questions, and making incremental progress each and every day. If you can put yourself into a productive mode and persist I think you can accomplish a great deal at WA. Zossima

Thanks so much for the promising & motivating response. I truly am in a better place now. I will be persistent and be dedicated to make this work. As soon as the kids go back to school in early September I will be looking this WA venture as full time school & work.

Thanks again Zossima for the kind and truthful words.

Des, Summer really does bring us great distractions.. It did for me, but where I live --Newfoundland, Canada-- we must take what summer warmth we can.

It is very important for us to remember our true values like you do sir. Family is of most importance in life, and I am glad this has been such an awesome summer for you. Travel is always fun! Well,, lol, usually...

Besides --For monthly WA-- whats $50? A cell phone bill, lol. If that is all we throw aside for spending time with our families, then we are doing well.

If you need any help from me or this community, let us know!

That's the reason we do this, we have chosen a lifestyle instead of a job, now we can decide when to work and when to play. Enjoy your family.

It's about making peace of mind as your first goal and building your life around that.

The unique thing about WA is that it is all about you and the pace you decide. No one is here to judge you or question you on your level of involvement.

When we say to ourselves don't and we don't, that's okay, when we say we will then we won't we can get the 'guilt's'.

Our conscience quickly let's us know if we are serious or in fact on track.

Having 4 grown up children now I can honestly say that time spent with them is irreplaceable and it's what memories are made of.

The years pass so quickly and the children grow so fast so enjoy time together while you can.

Cheers Russ

Our stories are similar, Des. Like you, I've been home with the kids this summer - only they are my beautiful grandchildren. They've been with us for about 2 years and it's the first time, ever, I've not had to worry about things. The three of us have had a BLAST and like you, I'll be starting back with WA full time in September. Can't wait - the girls are excited to get back to school and I'm excited to get back to WA University!

Moving along, Des. Sometimes, not as fast as I like, but moving ahead. What's important, my friend, is that family time you are spending. Looks like fun and I'm sure the memories you are making with your wee ones will last a lifetime!

So true, Carla!
Those are the times you remember when you reflect back in your life, not you many hours you worked or how much money you made sacrificing everything else in you life.
