Paid advertising on social media
GOOD DAY MARKETERS, MILLIONAIRES, BUSINESS EXPERTS!
Once again, I have a question that has been on my mind for a number of days, slowly marinating, reforming and expanding....
I looked it up in the WA archives to see how many times has a similar question been asked and that only produced more questions. As with many of my inquiries, there probably isn't one single straight and solid answer and so all of your input and expereince is greatly appreciated.
The question is:
Do you use paid advertising on Facebook and other social media?
I have read many accounts of people using paid advertising and results were mixed. Some say it works great and others say that it generated zero traffic to their websites.
I do not yet have a landing page, funnel or any of that stuff. I only have a website with a bunch of articles and affiliate links to other websites like Amazon...
Therefore, I suppose another part of my question would be...Is it worthwhile to start paying for advertising on social media or wait until the website has landing page and all that...
The main reason I am asking is that when ever I post an article or link to an article on social media, I might get a couple of likes and shares and perhaps one or two visits to the website. Facebook however, keeps insisting that I can boost my post and for a mere $25 I can reach ten thousand people looking for the type of articles I publish which might mean more visits to my site. Is this realy the case? Does anyone have any positive experiences with boosting their posts?
As always, everyone's replies and advice are greatly appreciated...
Thank you

I don't have money to test paid adverts. I recommend that you look at your reach and work out the percentage of people seeing vs traffic to website and if you up the people seeing by 10,000 work out what you would expect the traffic to click would be based on the same ratio. When you work out the cost is it likely that you will make money?
I personally ignore Facebook adverts in my feed because there are just so many of them.
Thank you for this reply...it sure gets me thinking about this from another perspective...
