My Website Indexed by Google?!?!
A big WOOOOOW as this pop-up box appeared right in front of my screen! I was jumping and overjoyed knowing it was an achievement.
So I shared the news to my confused husband. Happy for my accomplishment, he congratulated me and showed some interest by asking...so, what does being indexed to Google really mean? So me, with big eyes answered uhhh...mmmm ????? Wait, I dont actually understand what it means?
Knowing that it is a new badge earned, I got very excited and proud of myself that I have done something important for my website.
How did I know it is something important?
- Because I think my website has connections now to the biggest search engine on the web. What connections? I have nooo idea.
- Because I have been seeing posts from other WA members proudly expressing their happiness with this positive result.
But it still is unclear in my head.
- What does being indexed to Google really mean?
- Why is it important for my online business?
- Also, my website isnt ready! All I have is just the About Me page and Privacy Policy.. Quite panicky, should I quickly put contents?
A new technical term for me, so here I am calling out for back up.. WA family ...HEEEELP! ????????????

When we publish content online Google will index that content, what it means is that your content has been crawled by Google bot in short Google knows that you exist, when you add content, Google will return and index that content as well, from here google will start to rank that content.
You may see folks writing about posts being ranked on page one etc, this is the second part of the process.
It is nothing to be worried about, just part of the process, the key is to keep adding content and in doing so you will build your online presence.
