Success Defined

So how do you define success, if you ask most people they would probably say money, but if you ask the person with the money the same question I can guarantee the answer will be, " it's not the money that made me successful it's how I got here that makes me successful", so it's the journey, the road they took and carefully crafted it along the way, I'm sure they will tell you that they had some hard times and failures along the way getting to where they are if you ask them. To me success is something I can stand back and say I did that I made that happen.

From what I have figured out over the years, It all starts with getting off your butt and doing something about it, that's why were all here at this stage with WA and still going after and wanting the goal we set at the begining.

Sure, we are all fumbling around in the dark at times all looking for the light, waiting for the light bulb to come on, you have to go find the light switch for yourself, no one is going to do it for you.

I'm sure you all noticed the log home picture up top, this is one of my success stories, and I have had many, along with some failures in life, and this is what one of my niches is about (No Billy, not photographing other peoples homes or about failures) Billy being short for "Silly Billy" (fool/Idiot) I know the people from my homeland got it (England), but that's a whole other story.

Getting back on track, This is my home now, I built it myself and it only happened because I got off my Bum and made it happen, which brings me to my next point.

Time, this is the one thing I can think of that will pass you by, it's one thing that stops for no one, so how you use it when you figure it all out will determine your own successes in life.

Life itself this is another thing that will just pass you by if you let it, some people are quite content with what they have and just sit back and get into their comfort zone and only dream about people like us.

To me everything outside of time and life is about as inanimate as you can get, nothing is going to move or happen with it unless you do something to make it happen just like the log home and my websites, they are there because I did something about it. And like anything in life that's going to be your future it has to be built on a solid foundation, like the house and the training we are getting here.

Building my own website and Internet marketing has been something I have always thought about doing ever since the internet came online and I got my first computer (1997 ish), this is my third attempt at it, does this mean I had two failures at it, Noooooooo!

On the contrary, I learnt valuable lessons from it, the first time back in 2006 when I had a lot of time on my hands and searched for an on line business, I came across a company offering the training to get started, so I signed up (not knowing if it was a scam or anything) the whole deal was 5k( I had the money but, ouch!) so I took the plunge, before I knew it I was having to buy a domain do this do that go to the county tax office get a tax id # go to the bank set up a bizz account and hadn't even learnt much about getting started at this point, the training was a set appointment weekly for a specialist to call me on the phone and guide me through it, well I wasn't really comprehending anything they were telling me (was it my lack of knowlege and understaning, maybe) at the time as I didn't fully understand computers either and we got a little more than frustrated with each other (me n the coach) that's pretty much where that one ended, and it wasn't a money back guarantee. (A Big Ouch!) was it a failure? no, it was a learning experience. And I wasnt ready for it yet.

My second time was two weeks before finding Wealthy Affiliate (Sept 2019), I got an email with all the promises of easy money etc and all the training, so I signed up, this one was $500 right off the bat, before I got to lesson two I was having to buy a domain (that I now know we had to do at some point) lesson three done it for me, I guess my learning curve wasn't allowing me to comprehend what they were trying to get me to do in the training, or it wasn't explained properly, so I did what I could figured out how to request a refund, and got it within two days. YAY! Winner.

Well here I am again, my third attempt, another email took me to WA, Free training, yes I was a bit Leary right now so I thought I would just get my toes wet and test the waters. All I can say at this point is this is another success story, I love the Training and everything about the way Kyle and Carson have this set up, awesome. I am taking this all the way to the finish line.

I would put it up there with another success even at this point in the training, I still feel like a box of rock's sometime's but you know what, I dont know it all and dont claim to, I'm learning.

Am I feeling any success! You bet I am. Remember Quiters never win and winners never quit.
